[PATCH] Configurable privileges and chroot jail
Hi, This patch (against the current CVS tree) is intended to add secure configuration to icecast 'out of the box'. It adds two configuration directives, 'icecast_user' and 'chroot_dir'. These are intended to be used together to reduce the privileges icecast runs under to the minimum necessary. When this is enabled and run as root icecast will enter the specified chroot

rc12 dovecot-auth core dump with ldap
Hi, I've got a core dump during initialisation when I use 1.0.rc12 and LDAP with authenticated binds in Solaris. It worked OK in 1.0.rc10. Here's the non-commented entries in dovecot-ldap.conf - some of which are probably redundant :) :- hosts = xxx.yyy.rdg.ac.uk auth_bind = yes auth_bind_userdn = "cn=%n,cn=users,dc=xxx,dc=yyy,dc=rdg,dc=ac,dc=uk" ldap_version = 3 base =

Imap process crash: assertion failed: (full_fs_access)
Any guess at what would cause this? Feb 7 21:20:53 server dovecot: imap(user): Panic: file mailbox-list-fs-iter.c: line 447 (fs_list_get_roots): assertion failed: (full_fs_access) (Sorry, no core dump) According to my logs, this user couldn't start an IMAP session for a 2 hour stretch for hundreds of connections. Then the problem seemed to have went away. I logged back as that

Trouble running script/indexer at Dreamhost
Heyo -- I''m trying to use SearchGenerator/SimpleSearch at Dreamhost, and I have only one problem. When I run "script/indexer", it runs too long and is killed off by procwatch. So far I have tried: * Reducing the number of indexed models/fields * "nice"-ing the script to 19 * Running the script offpeak (12-3am PST) It''s still getting killed. Any ideas on

Segfault with indexer-worker using Tika/Solr
Using Dovecot 2.2.13 with Tika 1.5 on Centos 5 64bit Tika is throwing an exception for some reason, which seems to be causing Dovecot's indexer to segfault. I'm using mdbox/gzipped compressed mail and private indexes for the shared folder. I'm importing mail via formail/dovecot-lda: formail -s /usr/libexec/dovecot/dovecot-lda -d admin -m Public/TestSubFolder? < /tmp/Inbox.mbox

Indexer crash when fixing incorrectly named Maildir files
Hi, If the indexer encounters, and fixes by renaming, an incorrectly named file, it crashes immediately afterwards. I would guess the old file-name is re-used after re-naming and but isn't checked because it is assumed to exist having come from a listing of directory contents. dovecot: indexer-worker(<username>): Error: Maildir filename has wrong S value, renamed the file from

Meaning of "protocol !indexer-worker"
Hello, I'm configuring dovecot 2.2.28. Comparing with previous versions I have found now in 10-mail.conf the config: protocol !indexer-worker { # If folder vsize calculation requires opening more than this many mails from # disk (i.e. mail sizes aren't in cache already), return failure and finish # the calculation via indexer process. Disabled by default. This setting must
