Half-Life, wine & GeForce2 GO
Hi everybody, I tried today to install and play Half Life under wine on a toshiba satellite 3000-400 with an nvidia geforce2 go graphic card and an integrated sound card (i810). I downloaded both wine and winex from the CVS repositories, and compiled them with opengl support without any problem. I tried to install half life. winex hung when testing the wave sound output, and wine worked

CH7007A (AKA CH7006) TV OUT Support for NV11 (NVidia GeForce2 Go Dell I8K Laptop)
I believe that ch7006 is the only external encoder that's supposed to work, so you're in luck. It sounds like it passes the nv04_tv_identify stage of nv04_tv_create -- perhaps it fails later? Although based on the prints, it's even doing dpms stuff (but it hits _detect a second time... odd). Try booting with nouveau.debug=debug drm.debug=0xe That should provide a bunch more output as

CH7007A (AKA CH7006) TV OUT Support for NV11 (NVidia GeForce2 Go Dell I8K Laptop)
After analyzing verbose nouveau & drm dmesg, I have found seemingly no more useful details pertaining to having no TV-1 device. The TV-1 device might be getting lost within DRM, by setting the TV-1 (SVIDEO, Composite) device into DPMS mode or Full Power Down mode, and the ch7006 datasheet does say in this mode, all but the i2c circuits are disabled! /etc/X11/xorg.conf question
If I use "system-config-display" or "system-config-display --reconfig" although I get a message that I need to log out of GNOME, to have the new file written, for new Display Resolution, logging out or restarting the box does not result in the new settings for the Display taking hold. Sometimes, the number of colors is updated, but *never* the Resolution. Below is my xorg.conf

Speeding up wine applications
I currently managed to get wine to run Starcraft. However, it seems to run very slow. I have a 700mhz processor and a 32mb GeForce2 MX so I'm pretty sure that my system is capable of handling the game. What can I do to accelerate the game or any other programs in general?

"userspace nouveau" on NV15
Hello, I'm trying to get "userspace" nouveau to work on the NV15 card (GeForce2 GTS - ASUS v7700 TVR). Whilte kernel nouveau driver works, userspace nv_init programs hangs during CONFIGURE_MEM. I have produced a trace log (in attach) in the hope that it will help. Card is installed as a primary (the only) card in a box and is correctly booted by VBIOS. -- With best wishes Dmitry
