net rpc group add mygroup - NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED
does not work. Hi - I'm a little bit desperated. I've samba configured as an PDC with openldap as an information backend. Normally with tdb files I can do the command net rpc group add mygroup and this works. But if I switch to ldapsam I get the failure message root@balu-bash(1:10)# net rpc group add mygroup Password: add group failed: NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED I'm quite sure that

Compilation problem on OSF/1
PArdon the "newbie" nature of this question, but I *am* a samba newbie I'm trying to compile samba-1.9.18p6 on a DEC Alpha running OSF/1 V3.0 (I know it's old, but I'm stuck with it). I've modified the Makefile as follows... ># Add any optimisation or debugging flags here ># add -DSYSLOG for syslog support >FLAGS1 = -O -std1 -w >LIBS1 = and ># This

newbie-too much latency
I have a plain POTS line coming into FXO in a Digium card, this is developers kit card with 1 FXO and 1 FXS. The latency is very high, in that, it picks up after 8 rings. I don't know what I can tune to reduce to 2 or 3 rings. If it's of any help , I am posting a section of the log : ==== Apr 30 10:26:50 DEBUG[3050] manager.c: Manager received command 'Command' Apr 30

File system checking on ext3 after a system crash
Hi folks -- My machine is a RHEL 3 with 2.4 kernel installed - with some large ext3 filesystems on drives connected internally ( >200G) Now, When this system crashed (for eg:- a CPU panic /hardware error ) - e2fsck on this filesystem seems to be taking a long time to return thereby adding to the overall downtime of this system. could there be any workarounds for my issue? say for

[LLVMdev] Preserving Analysis in ALL Passes
Hi, I'm fighting with this quite some time now: Is there a way to mark an Analysis (in my case ProfileInfo) as perserved by _all_ passes? I have tried to add ProfileInfo directly in Pass.h:getAnalysisUsage() but that produces nasty circular library dependecies. I also tried to simply store a pointer to the ProfileInfo in Module but then the PassManager gets confused resulting in double

Preserving CDR(accountcode) in Local channels
Greetings list, Whilst running through a routine check of some CDRs, I've noticed that the originating channel's accountcode isn't preserved on creating a local channel. For example, if we start with: exten => 123,1,Set(CDR(accountcode)=foo) exten => 123,n,Queue(bar,nrtw,,,) And the queue 'bar' is defined as follows: [bar] member => Local/456 at outbound member

Migration from Maildir to mdbox on another server preserving POP3 UIDLS
Hi all, Does anyone have a good migration document for Migration from Maildir (old server 2.1.x) to mdbox onto another new server with SIS preserving POP3 UIDLS. Preserving UIDLs is of paramount importance so that clients don't download mails again into outlook. Preserving uid/gid on remote machine with non-root permission
Is there a way to backup files to a remote machine on which I don't have root permission, while preserving their uids/gids? I know that only the super-user can set the owner and group of a file, so what I am actually looking for is a tool that would store the actual uids/gids of all files that are backuped by rsync in a kind of meta-file. This file could then be used to restore the files

preserving params across redirects
Hi, Is there a way to preserve the params along with redirects? or the only way is to set persist in session? Is this the RoR way? reading stata files: preserving values of variables converted to factors
Hi, I am a Stata user new to R. I am using read.dta to read a Stata file that has variables with value labels. read.dta converts them to factors, but seems to recode them with values from 1 to <number of factor levels> (looking at the output of unclass(<varname>)), so the original numerical values are lost. Using convert.factors=FALSE preserves the values, but seems to discard

'mv: preserving permissions for `all.R': Operation not supported' when installing R 3.1.0 via compiling source code in CentOS
I compile R3.1.0 to install it in centOS without root. The disk partition format is NFS (network file system). After configure it ($/home/XX/download/R3.1.0/configure --prefix=/home/zj/local/R --enable-R-shlib --with-x?) successfully, I make it ($make). But there always is an error when make the base package. As bellow: mkdir -p -- ../../../library/translations make[4]: Entering directory
