Switch is only tagging the vlan packets. Once the PC loads the vlan aware driver ("client") it will be able to read tagged packet for the vlan which PC has been configured to use. I have a work around for this, but can someone explain why the first example does not work properly? I just bit the bullet and installed CentOS 5 on my work desktop, and although I have two monitors and a card that supports them, I cannot get the display configuration to work with both as a continuous (spanning) desktop.
