idmap limit?
Hi,
no, that's my fault. I changed the UIDs and user names in my "ls -l" to
unpersonalized/example data for my mail and didn't think about putting
these values into the range. A better unpersonalized data example would
look like:
----------
drwx------ 43 DOM\user1 DOM\group 4096 Jan 10 08:00 user1
drwx------ 5 DOM\user2 DOM\group 4096 Jan 11 08:13 user2

Ok, you are completely right. Here are the real numbers with changed
user names:
drwx------ 43 DOM\user1 DOM\domain-user 4096 Jan 10 08:00 user1
drwx------ 5 DOM\user2 DOM\domain-user 4096 Jan 11 08:13 user2
drwx------ 92 DOM\user3 DOM\domain-user 4096 Jan 16 08:39 user3

Plugin mail-filter tangles
System installed : Dovecot 2.2.12 as IMAP server and Postfix as MTA.
Dovecot and Postfix connected via LMTP
+ Dovecot mail plugin 'mail-filter' to encrypt/decrypt emails on the fly
with public/private users' RSA keys.
Case study :
You have 3 (virtuals) users belonging to 3 different domains, all
managed by your Dovecot server.
One of these users is connected to Dovecot with MUA

Win(yuck)NT
In migrating to Samba on FreeBSD from Win(yuck)NT, I?ve run into this
hitch.
Let us say I have 9 users named
User1, User2, User3, ? User9
User1 is a member of group wheel
User2 & User3 have the administrative task (add/change/delete) of managing
the content of the directory Dirc1 and all subordinate objects (files and
directories).
Dirc1 is the directory /usr/Shared/Dirc1. Only User1

Two domain groups with the same gid?
Here is the result from getent:
user@SERVER01:~$ getent group | grep 10208
DOMAIN\group1:x:10208:
BUILTIN\administrators:x:10208:DOMAIN\user1,DOMAIN\user2,DOMAIN\user3,DO
MAIN\user4
What is up with that? Is there some way I can manually change the gid
of one of these? The group1 is a new group that I just set up btw.

idmap limit?
Hi,
we are running a file server as member server of a windows 2012 domain.
Now we are facing the problem, that some UIDs are not mapped to the user
names by the running winbindd process. This results in "nobody"
usernames for nfs shares mounted by other clients.
When doing an "ls -l" in the homes directory on the member server (file
server), the list looks like:

Access Voicemail Asterisk 1.8 FreeBSD 8.2
Hello, I'm new to this list. I'm trying to configure my Asterisk to have
user access their email. SO far users can leave voicemail but they can't
access voicemail. As you can see I had sip.conf and extensions.conf below.
Please advice how to access configure extensions.conf to have users access
their voicemail.
Thanks in advance.

fail to display xfs quotas instead of smbcquotas on Win clients
Hi
Samba 3.6.3 on Ubuntu.
Filesystem is xfs, grpquota and usrquota are enabled.
root at host:# repquota /mntpoint displays the correct data (see below).
In smb.conf I defined max protocol = SMB2.
When running smbcquotas //host/share -L I'm getting displayed a value of
16GB for every user share. This is the value that is displayed on the
windows 7 boxes when looking at the network shares in

fstat() errors on /srv/mail/<username>/dovecot.index.log
Dovecot version 2.1.7
Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS

I'm not sure exactly when this started occurring, but sporatically users
report issues receiving email, having email saved to "Sent," etc.
Looking in dovecot.log, I see the following errors:

Samba domain users AWOL from Samba file server.
Unfortunately, the the Ubuntu 18.04 samba-tool package doesn't have "user
