Configuration advice needed.
Hello,
First, thanks for this great piece of software.
I'm new to dovecot and i've just converted my old courier configuration
on pop/imap server side, everithing is working just fine on this side
and speed gain expected was found (not enough for our busy servers :).
Setup is done with 3 dovecot virtual servers load balanced with a

Icedove (Thunderbird) crashes when reading IMAP messages
This is a Debian lenny/sid installation. Dovecot has been installed on
it for over a year, with no problems. Lately (i.e. the past few
months), if I attempt to read a message, Icedove crashes. It does not
do this when I read a message downloaded from the ISP's POP3 server (not
that I do this very often - almost all my mail goes through Dovecot).
I am now having to read email with

Dovecot Linux 2 Dovecot OSX migration
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA384
Hi, we are moving all our internal IT to an OSX server. Having used Dovecot on Linux for a couple of years now I want to transfer all IMAP folders so that users won't see a difference.
Are there are any tips & tricks how to migrate Dovecot to Dovecot? I hope this is a simple thing to do.

SPF Record questions
I am inquiring about how to setup a proper SPF record. I know there are
SPF wizards/generators available but each seem to have a different
"opinion" of what should be included and what should not be included.
Let me give you a scenario of my setup, and hopefully someone can help
me out.
My domain is: test.com
My mailserver hostname is: mail.host.com which also has a MATCHING PTR

CDU load problems with testing
Hi
I just upgraded my system to xen-3.0-testing, hoping it would solve my
problems with the virtual network interfaceses (I cannot connect between two
domains) and memory usage (I sometime "miss" a few hundret megabytes).
The update didn''t help on the networking issues, but it did on memory usage.
However, I created a new problem: using htop, the cpu is used at 50% in both

icedove update
Something came up that Confounded problems in my move from UW-imap to
dovecot. I found a problem with the new icedove update in Debian lenny
when moving from 1.5.0.13+1.5.0.14b.dfsg1-0etch1 to 2.0.0.9-3 that could
look like a dovecot issue. Icedove runs for a while but eventually quits
updating the displayed email, yet appears to be working and busy trying
to get messages from the server. I

Dovecot v2.1 plans
Now that v2.0 seems to be getting stable, I finally started v2.1 branch:
http://hg.dovecot.org/dovecot-2.1/
So far there are just some API changes to fix some annoyances and to
make it simpler. They'll probably keep coming for a while more to make
future work easier.
As for larger upcoming features, I'm hoping for:
- simplify index files and make it write only via lib-fs (but keep
