config.c32 fails in 5.00pre11
The config.c32 module (and the CONFIG directive) is not behaving as
expected when using syslinux.exe 5.00pre11 as installer. To
replicate:

ALLOWOPTIONS directive
I have some questions about "ALLOWOPTIONS 0".
[quote]
ALLOWOPTIONS flag_val
If flag_val is 0, the user is not allowed to specify any arguments on
the kernel command line. The only options recognized are those
specified in an APPEND) statement. The default is 1.

My understanding of the behavior of "ALLOWOPTIONS 0" is that unless I
type-in a command that is exactly

5.00pre11 initial comments
Initial comments about 5.00-pre11.
1_ Using ctrl+v at the boot prompt:
SYSLINUX 5.00 5.00-pre11CHS Copyright ...
Initial copyright notice when booting to Syslinux prompt:
SYSLINUX 5.00 CHS 5.00-pre11 Copyright ...
Request: make the ctrl+v result to be shown as the initial copyright
notice (including order and space characters).
2_ Hello.c32 is still behaving differently than in 4.06.

Syslinux 5 (i)pxelinux.0 unnecessary PATH requests
Hi there,
i just build a new ipxelinux.0 with an EMBED=../../syslinux-5/core/pxelinux.0.
i'm trying to load up my vesamenu.c32 menu from http:.
and offcorse i want this as optimal as possible, with the least needed GET requests.
OLD situation with v4:
PXE ROM -> ipxelinux.0 (tftp) -> menu.php (http) -> vesamenu.c32 (http)
NEW situation with v5:

comments about 5.00pre10
Hi Matt,
First comments about 5.00-pre10.
1_ When using "ctrl+v" in the boot prompt, there is no space
character between the version and the boot mode. Additionally, the
main version number is shown twice.
For example, "SYSLINUX 5.00 5.00-PRE10CHS" should be:
"SYSLINUX 5.00-PRE10 CHS"
2_ Boot to menu.c32, press [ESC] to go to the boot prompt. Pressing

PATH directive
I have a question about the PATH directive. In fact, the question is
not about how it is currently working, but about its intention or goal,
or how it was supposed to work (or how it was thought about for the
5.00 release).
Previous discussions about the PATH directive in the Syslinux Mailing
List, and its documentation (e.g. "PATH rules") left on me the
impression that it was

1_ Booting with Syslinux, in the Syslinux "boot:" prompt press "Ctrl+V"
so to see relevant information. The c32 modules shall match the same
version.

suggestions for global APPEND consistency
Hello Syslinux Team,
I have some suggestions / requests regarding global APPEND commands.
These would make the behavior more consistent and more useful for
practical cases.
1_ Add some functionality equivalent to "APPEND -" to the command
prompt.
2_ Activate the functionality of ONERROR from [vesa]menu.c32 too.
Currently, ONERROR only works from the command prompt.
3_ Add a new

PATH directive searches in reverse order with wrong separator
I've been trying to get syslinux.efi working in my environment again...
Found what look like a bunch of little bugs that are very frustrating...
First, the documentation on the Wiki says that as of 5.11, the list
separator is space, not colon. But I can find no evidence that 5.11
was ever officially released or that a commit to git was made to make
this change. 6.00 and following still use

Problem with cascading configurations
Hello,
I am trying to setup a PXE server for two Debian releases (stretch and
buster) using their respective network boot images (netboot.tar.gz),
which I extracted into subdirectories of the TFTP server's root directory:
??? ??? debian
??? ??? ??? buster
??? ??? ??? ??? debian-installer
??? ??? ??? ??? ldlinux.c32 ->
debian-installer/i386/boot-screens/ldlinux.c32

Syslinux-5.00-pre9
Folks,
I've just pushed out another prerelease for the 5.00 branch. The idea
behind this -pre was to merge in the final 4.06 release.
I'm aiming for a final 5.00 release next week, but as we saw with the
4.06 branch, anything can happen and these deadlines can get pushed
backwards. Please, test if you can.
One thing that is going to happen next week is a Syslinux-6.00-pre1,
which will
