Loops
Dear Contributors,
I am asking help on the way how to solve a problem related to loops for
that I always get confused with.
I would like to perform the following procedure in a compact way.
Consider that p is a matrix composed of 100 rows and three columns. I need
to calculate the sum over some rows of each
column separately, as follows:
fa1<-(colSums(p[1:25,]))
fa2<-(colSums(p[26:50,]))

Collecting results of a test with array
Dear contributors
I have tried this experiment:
x<-c()
for (i in 1:12){
x[i]<-list(cbind(x1[i],x2[i])) #this is a list of 12 couples of time
series I am using to perform a test
} # that compares them 2 by 2
#
#################
#trace statistic
test<-data.frame()
cval<-array( , dim=c(2,3,12))
for (i in 2:12){
for (k in 1:2){
for (j in 1:3){
result[k,j,i]<-

[PATCH][RFC] Support GPT (GUID Partition Table)
Hi,
I made a patch for GPT support.
As you see, this patch uses ad-hoc approach.
If you give me an advice, it would be appreciated

Double quota calulation when special folder is present
Hello,
we're operating dovecot on a small server. Some years ago, we migrated
from courier IMAP to dovecot. Therefore, we defined our default
Namespace "inbox" with prefix "INBOX." to have this compatible. I found
this in some migration docs those days. Generally, everything worked as
expected.
Our only namespace is configured like this:
namespace inbox {

[BUG?] Double quota calulation when special folder is present
Just hoping to get some dev eyes on this. I'm incredibly reluctant to throw
the word 'bug' around
(since 99 times out of 100, it's not -- it's almost always the config), but
I can't think of any way
that this could be a config issue, esp when the pre-2.2.34 version works as
expected.
I noticed during troubleshooting that dovecot errors out if I try to create

Woohoo! Finally, an answer which just happened to point
me in the right direction. Also, I spent a little more
time scouring through the compile errors.

Are stub databases still supported in 1.0.21?
I have the following setup:
Databases:
/var/lib/xapian-omega/data/db1
/var/lib/xapian-omega/data/db2
/var/lib/xapian-omega/data/db3
Stub:
/var/lib/xapian-omega/data/default
The stub file "default" is a text file that contains the following:
auto /var/lib/xapian-omega/data/db1
auto /var/lib/xapian-omega/data/db2
auto /var/lib/xapian-omega/data/db3
Using the following returns nothing:

SUN Storage 7310 with RHEL 5.5 / Centos 5.5 and multipathed root, again.
Dear all,
After some trouble finding the right multipath.conf, I'm running Centos
5.5 against the SUN 7310 more or less successfully now. Unfortunately one
issue remains:
the SUN 7310 has two storage heads, H1 and H2, which are in a
active/passive configuration. If I define a LUN on H1, everything works
great. I edit multipath.conf, re-create the initrd and I find 8 paths with
