Help to conduct a random factor analysis with binomial response
Dear users of the R mailing list,
I am a ph.d. student in biology working on red deer in Norway, who would
like to conduct an analysis with random factor where the response is
binomially distributed. This cannot be conducted in S-plus, and I was told
by others that it may be possible in R. However, I soon got into trouble
which I hope you can help me to solve.
My model is on this form:

Writing a breakable loop? If it gets a match it should stop.
I''m trying to write a function that will accept a rails URL, and see if
it matches one of my Rights. Rights are just controller URLs, so I can
manage access at the controller level (don''t need action level). What
I''m trying to do is take the url passed, and see if its access
controlled. If it is, the method should stop and return true, if not it
will return false. This

Incorrect shell quotation in scp
Hi,
as the current debian maintainer of the openssh package is a bit busy,
I'm helping him with fixing a part of the bugs in openssh that debian
users found will forward some of the reports to you. This is the first
one and a fix or a comment why this should not be fixed would be
appropriated. Thanks

Using lubridate to increment date by business days only
Hello,
I know how to increment a date by calendar date:
ticker$ldate <- ticker$tdate + days(5)
How do I increment it by business days only so that week-ends are not
counted?
So for example friday november 2 + 5days becomes friday november 9 & not
wednesday nov 7.
Thanks for your help.

sshd demons
Hi there, I'm having a problem with sshd demons not shuting down after
connection is closed.
The strange thing is that this is happening on both my Redhat 6.2 server and
Redhat 7.0, both running
OpenSSH_2.3.0p1. I'm positive that KeepAlive is set to yes !
Is this a common problem ? I'm suspecting that is has something to do with
the client as well. Think we're all using

MWI on Cisco 7905
Hi,
I'm using a Cisco 7905 (with SIP image CP7905010300SIP050414A) on
Asterisk 1.07.
Whenever the user gets voicemail, the MWI goes on, and when the user
listens to the voicemail, the MWI goes off. However, the phone is
configured (as in the default config by Cisco) to re-read its
configuration from tftp every hour. This 'warm reboot' also turns off
the MWI, and it won't

[PATCH 0/9] tools: remove or disable old/useless/unused/unmainted stuff
depends on "autoconf: regenerate configure scripts with 4.4 version"
This series removes some of the really old deadwood from the tools build
and makes some other things which are on their way out configurable at
build time with a default depending on how far down the slope I judge
them to be.

100% CPU
I''m running Mephisto on two mongrels behind Apache 2.2. I''m getting HUGE
spikes to 100% of CPU on uncached (not served by Apache) requests. These
requests also take an exorbitant amount of time, ~20 seconds when my
production.log reports the database responding in > .2 seconds and the
render time is > .002 seconds. I have no idea where to start with debugging
this. I have
