FreeBSD wiki offline for a bit
Hey,
Due to a security issue in the moinmoin wiki software, the FreeBSD
wiki will be offline for a bit. I do not yet know if the issue
actually has been exploited in the FreeBSD wiki (haven't had the time
yet to examine it), but I took the wiki down just in case.
Note that even if the software was compromised, it was considered
untrusted from the start and as such heavily sandboxed

-O compression=lz4 \

Help compiling 3.0.21c on Mac OS X 10.4.5
My first attempt of compiling Samba or pretty much anything like this
under Mac OS X. Dragged the source down, did ./configure with success
(AFAICT). When doing
#root > make
it chugs through quite a good part of it, but then:

Looking for driver help
I sent an email out to freebsd-net without a response, soo this is my last
attempt at getting any assistance here.
I have a QLE3142-CU-CK (rebranded NetXen NX3-20GCU w/ NX3031 chipset) with
no driver support in *BSD from anything I saw. I came across solaris's ntxn
driver which seems to work appropriately but I have no use for solaris as a
host o/s. Naturally I'll attempt at trying to get

FreeBSD 9.1 + Samba 3.6.12 : Winbind sid lookup issue
Hey Samba list.
We recently had to switch from 3.5.x to 3.6, due to the ports tree dropping
3.5
Since then, I've have had issues with the looking up users consistently. It
may work for 30 minutes, and then stop.
I finally started to run winbindd -i -d and here are some of my findings:
Environment:
OS: FreeBSD 9.1-RELEASE

still mbuf leak in 9.0 / 9.1?
Hi list,
since we activated 10gbe on ixgbe cards + jumbo frames(9k) on 9.0 and now on 9.1 we recognize that after a random period of time, sometimes a week, sometimes only a day, the
system doesn't send any packets out. The phenomenon is that you can't login via ssh, nfs and istgt is not operative. Yet you can login on the console and execute commands.
A clean shutdown isn't possible

[UART] GPS 18-5Hz LVC and COM1 silence, OK on Linux though...
Hi,
I'm having issues connecting Garmin GPS 18 to COM1 on 9.1, I get
nothing but silence. Identical setup works absolutely fine with Linux.
I've got PPS wire connected to DCD, but that seems to make no
difference on Linux, so I presume it shouldn't affect fbsd either.
On Linux, I get:

Intel 3000 and 5000 chipsets?
Greetings. HP claims RHEL 4 supports their servers with the Intel 3000
and 5000 chipsets. Has anyone had any trouble/success building machines
that use this?
For example, CentOS 4.4 on

APC Smart-UPS RT 5000
Hello all
I've a brand-new APC box, model Smart-UPS RT 5000, which comes with a black
cable RJ48 in one side (10P4C) and RS232-DB9 in the other. The cable
reads "940-1525A" in the DB9 side.
Which is the best setting (driver and options) to connect this UPS to my
computer? It seems not to be recognized by a typical apcsmart driver setting.
Many thanks

megaline 5000, battery charge
Hello!
I have Megaline 5000 UPS, which I need to monitor via RS232 interface.
I'm using "metasys" driver, and everything is Ok, but I can't see
battery charge.
From command line and cgi-interface I can see battery voltage, input
and output voltage and load of UPS in %. But there is nothing about
battery charge and remaining time (when on-battery).
Is there any chance to see

Más de 5000 paquetes en CRAN :-0
Es cierto. Es una sensación que espanta... ¿Qué tanto podremos hacer que ya
no esté allí o qué tanto faltará allí para contribuir? No sé cuál pregunta
me pasma más.
