Lock ups?
Hi there. I'm reasonably new to Samba but quite experainced with Linux.
The other day I decided to throw a file server together for my house. I
put together a Linux box with 5 120 gig drives raid 5'd in a rack mount
box and put it in the basement.
It's running debian and Samba 3.0.2a-1. The Kernel is 2.4.26.
I am then mounting the drive as a mapped network drive under a windows XP

After snapshot-delete, the qcow2 image file size doesn't decrease, isn't
that a waste of disk space?
Would someone please tell me how to decrease the file size when
snapshot-delete, if that's possible?
The image file name of my virtual machine is d0.qcow

curl and CVE-2013-2174
Dear members,
It may sound a silly question. I have curl installed:
# pkg_info |grep curl
curl-7.24.0_3 Non-interactive tool to get files from FTP, GOPHER, HTTP(S)
Today portsnap updated the ftp/curl port, and patch-CVE-2013-2174 appeared
in files/, but the port version remained such that portaudit, and
portupgrade still complain about curl's version. What is the recommended

Puppet 3.1.1 Windows crashes
I noticed that a number of my Windows hosts had stopped dialing in, and
upon closer inspection I found that Puppet was crashing in Ruby and
wevtapi.dll. I can''t find any reference to this in the issue tracker,
although I''ve got over a dozen occurrences in my environment, all with the
same descriptions as below. I checked to see if the times were similar, in
case the server

Hello I wonder if anyone here could possibly help me? I am using Samba
version 4.5.16-Debian (version information taken from sudo smbstatus) on
Raspbian and attempting to prototype some future network infrastructure
with a couple of Raspberry Pis.
So far I have sucessfully created a Samba 4 AD DC
