mail open slowly
Hello,
I have a dovecot IMAP server (relative small hardware: HP
Microserver with 6 Gbyte RAM, linux soft RAID1 with 2x 7200 SATA disk)
with 100 Gbyte maildirs.
Server works fine but sometimes I can open
mails slowly (5-10 sec), typical with new mails.
It's intresting when I
open an another old mail (with 0 sec wait), after new mail open
quickly.
Is it dovecot mail indexes or I/O problem?

OT: does the LSI 9211-8i fit into the HP N40L?
Hi again,
thanks for all the replies to the all in one with ESXi, it was
most illuminating. I will use this setup at my dayjob.
Now for a slight variation on a theme: N40L with ESXi with raw drive
passthrough, with OpenIndiana/napp-it NFS or iSCSI export of underlying
devices. This particular setup is for a home VMWare lab, using
spare hardware parts I have around.

Semi-Regular Time Series with Missing Values
Hi,
I'm trying to make a ts object that has both NA values and a frequency other
than 1 (so I can use stl). I've tried all permutations I can think of, but
cannot get the desired (expected?) results.
The values live in x and the corresponding semi-regular time stamps are in
t:
> library('zoo')
> z = zoo(x, order.by=t, frequency=24)
> zzr = as.zooreg(z, start=0)

curl and CVE-2013-2174
Dear members,
It may sound a silly question. I have curl installed:
# pkg_info |grep curl
curl-7.24.0_3 Non-interactive tool to get files from FTP, GOPHER, HTTP(S)
Today portsnap updated the ftp/curl port, and patch-CVE-2013-2174 appeared
in files/, but the port version remained such that portaudit, and
portupgrade still complain about curl's version. What is the recommended

Hello,
I had running OpenMediaVault server with NUT 2.4.3 megatec_usb driver.
After the OMV upgrade, NUT also upgraded to 2.6.4. I realised that
megatec_usb removed in this version. So I have configured to use blazer_usb
driver. However NUT behaves incorrectly after switching blazer_usb. System
is being halted upon booted up.
Is it possible to use megatec_usb driver in the new version?

CentOS on the HP MicroServer
I'm been running two HP MicroServers as home-servers under CentOS-5.6
for 2 months, and have been very happy with their performance.
I'm wondering if there are many other MicroServer/CentOS users around?
I've been surprised when looking at the MicroServer forums
(eg <<http://www.avforums.com/forums/networking-nas/

putting "/tmp" to memory
"to memory" means: mounting a ~2 GByte filesystem [ tmpfs?, or ramfs? ], and put the "/tmp" on it. [ e.g.: 4 GByte ram in the pc ]. what to write in the "/etc/fstab"?
I would like to collect the [ answers too:P ]:
Advantages:
- Memory is way faster then HDD/SSD, so it could speed things up
- "SSD amortization" is less
Disadvantages:
- Security?

Hello there,
I don't know if I'm addressing my question to the right e-mail address, I hope I do. Actually I have a little problem concerning writing a code in R. I try to briefly sum up my problem.
As you can see below, I created the functions "Equation1" and "Equation2" with some conditions.

Same output in NUT as from APC tools?
Hello,
Since I have now nearly all stuff running on my LH7A404 and now I am
working on my DS80C411, I like to know, whether NUT show the APC UPS
stats like the APC tools.
Currently I do not know, HOW NUT triber the USB-Poert to get out the
infos of the UPS. In theory I do send out only arround 5-60 lines of
data which then NUT or any other programs must parse or something
