Pass iPhone/iTouch through kvm to Win7 VM?
Started this over on the main list, but remembered there is a CentOS-virt list also where this would be more appropriate. At home, I'm all Linux and only run Windows in VMs when I absolutely have to (e.g., TurboTax on Win7 during the tax filing season). Now I'm trying to get Win7 running in a VM on CentOS 5.6 and kvm to connect to my iTouch and iPhone so I can sync them with iTunes.

KVM Live Migration
We have the following test environment: 2 x CentOS 5.5 KVM virtual hosts 2 x CentOS 5.5 network storage boxes with NFS shares on LVs on DRBD (primary/secondary, no HA, just replication). We have installed both CentOS and Win7 guests which live migrate almost instantly between hosts using Virt Manager (or virsh migrate). The problem is that the guests does not retain their running state after

[PATCH v2 0/5] v2v: assorted improvements to tests for windows
This series makes several enhancements to tests for v2v conversion of Windows guests. Specifically, it - adds a number of files which imitate the stuff that is supposed to be present on the host when the actual conversion is performed, but may not be there when the tests are run. This includes certain tools and virtio drivers - fixes the test for windows conversion to actually

Resize KVM NTFS file system
Hey all, I resized a partition inside a KVM RAW file system disk image. When I start the Win7 virtual machine it does not report the new partition size. It shows the file system as 15GB instead of the 50GB size of the partition that it lives on. I gather from hours so reading the manual that I need to increase the NTFS file system size to fill the new larger partition where it lives. The

KVM usb to serial converter issue....
So I have something that I am trying to do in kvm that requires a usb to serial converter...that goes to a serial device. I pass the usb to serial device via a physical device and win7 discovers the device and assigns it a com port...all is good until I reboot win7 and I have to remove the device and re-add it from kvm...it then discovers it and assigns it a new com port. If I look in windows it

Samba after upgrade+migration, Win7 workstation trusts lost
Hello list - >From my previous post: ++ First, trusts have been lost with the Win7 workstations in the domain. I would like to recover those trusts with no effect to the user accounts on the workstations. All workstations use local profiles. I can log on to the workstations using cached credentials, but any attempt to log on to them with Samba running on the server fails. So, I stop
