understanding stemming and synonyms
I am working with version 1.2.7 and want to use stemming and synonyms.
I use the perl-bindings and get some problems.
First of all: the perl-bindings dont allow the QueryParser a third
argument when calling parse_query! So i cannot set a default prefix
(which perhaps is the solution to my problem, but later more)
i have a simple testcase:
3 documents, every document only has one word:

SSH-2 hostbased auth
Hi,
We've changed all opennssh config to use only protocol 2. Some hosts was
connecting without password. Is possible to do this using openssh
(Protocol 2)?

defunct in 1.24 on FreeBSD Alphaserver
Hello,
I've recently upgraded Dovecot from 1.1.16 to 1.2.4 on FreeSBD 6.3-
RELEASE running on old Alphaserver 1200.
Some time after this upgrade all user's MUAs showed error that user
password was not accepted. I've noticed many zombies of imap and pop3
processes on my server (all in defunct state). Looks like when
"login_max_processes_count" was reached, Dovecot

Process hanging on 6.0-STABLE
Hi,
I work for a small company that makes radar systems for research
organisations and we use FreeBSD on the PCs for data acquisition and
processing. We have recently shifted to FreeBSD6/amd64 and one machine in
particular is exhibiting a strange problem.
The acquisition process is a Tcl interpreter with a largish chunk of C code
which talks to the hardware (via RS485 and a custom PCI card).

Problem with "make buildworld"
Hi all
I want to upgrade from 4.5-RELEASE to 4.8-STABLE. I cvsup-ed the source
tree and then in /usr/src do 'make -j4 buildworld'. But there was an error
during make.
here is the dump:

7.0-stable: a hung process - scheduler bug?
Hello!
I was trying to build OpenOffice using all of my 4 CPUs. To be able to
do other work on the machine comfortably, I ran the build under nice,
and assigned real-time priority to the two Xorg processes.
The build started at about 23:10 last night, and hung at 23:46. The
procstat output for the make's process group is:
PID PPID PGID SID TSID THR LOGIN WCHAN EMUL

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] RFC: A Great Renaming of Things (or: Let's Repaint ALL the Bikesheds!)
Hi there.
What about repainting the top-level bike-shed - the build system itself?
I've got a framework called "v3c" in SourceForge that has a top-level
makefile.
From that makefile you can just do "make" to build it with debug
information,
"make release" for a release build,
"make -j7 distcheck" to throw a few cores at the build,
"make -j7 git

[PATCH] Set KEYTAB_FILE=/etc/libvirt/krb5.tab in node-config
Yesterday on irc :
18:12 < arthurc> "Mar 09 17:08:01 Retrieving keytab:" :) and my host appears
in ovirt (still unavailable but it's better). I defined in ovirt-awake :
KEYTAB_FILE=/etc/libvirt/krb5.tab
19:04 < mcpierce> arthurc: kk - the value ought to be moved to
/etc/sysconfig/node-config. I'll cut a patch and send it out.
Is this ok ?

OpenSSH 6.4, "ssh-add -l", output to non-tty
This one has me perplexed. OpenSSH6.4p1 on a FreeBSD 7 box (I know it's
old; it's being replaced this month). I can't spot anything changed in
OpenSSH commit logs or git blame of the current file.
I ssh into the box from a system with OpenSSH6.6p1 and three keys
loaded, RSA, ECDSA and ED25519.
As expected, key_from_blob and key_fingerprint complain about the
ED25519 key in the

[LLVMdev] Bikeshedding commit message policy - Round 3 - Fight!
Folks,
On review http://reviews.llvm.org/D8197, we're basically down to two
bikeshedding issues:
1. Title tags
Some people use "[CSE] Change blah", others use "CSE: Change blah". I
hadn't put anything regarding tags because not everyone use it and
when they do, it's slightly different. I personally don't think it's a
reason to argue about, so I'm in

test76-77 dies at SIGHUP
Hello people
This is on OpenBSD/sparc64.
After chickening along with 0.99 for a while, I finally upgraded to
1.0-test. I started out with test73, which worked fine. With the upgrade
to test76, I lost the ability to SIGHUP dovecot when I rotated it's
logfile. Dovecot would just die abruptly, not a trace in the log.
I just upgraded to test77, but the problem is still there.
I've put

imap daemon consuming all the cpu
Hello,
I've tried to do a full text search on the inbox, it run fine, but the
imap daemon started to eat all the CPU until I closed the email client.
I'm running dovecot 1.0.rc7 [using kqueue] on FreeBSD 6.1.
ktrace shows this pattern over and over (its seems to be looping):
49021 imap CALL kevent(0x4,0,0,0x80df000,0x5,0xbfbfe988)
49021 imap RET kevent 1

Well, it has been about a year ago, when I installed my servers.
And by then libgnutls-dev had been available without any problem.
Maybe there are some remnants on the system - I frankly don't know.
