appliance/make.sh won't update when re-configure with new mirror (or updates) url
Hi, all:
When I re-configure in the source directory, and then make the build. It will use the previous urls of mirror and updates which I specified via --with-mirror and --with-updates.
for example: the previous command line I used is:
1. $ ./autogen.sh --with-mirror='http://wrongurl/fedora/os/' --with-updates='http://wrongurl/fedora/updates' --with-repo='wrong_repo'

[PATCH] Use guestfsd binary to auto-generate library dependencies for appliance
The ELF NEEDED are used to determine guestfsd's library dependencies
with help from the dynamic linker and the package manager.
This was prompted by Debian bug #972241 which was caused by a
libtirpc package renaming in Debian/unstable because the SONAME had
been changed.

[PATCH] Even on Debian, the package containing the diff binary it has been diffutils for two years.
There had been a virtual package "diff" that depended on diffutils, but that's gone in wheezy/sid, too.

SAMBA 3.0 joining Domain fails with SuSE rpm's
Hello,
I'm not sure if it's a bug - or I'm just too stupid..!?
Downloaded the Samba beta-code from ftp.suse.com/gd - rpm's for SuSE 8.2 (03/06/22). Installed all packages with no problems - samba works well, but integration in a W2K Domain fails. Kinit is successful but joining a domain brings up the following errors.

[PATCH v2 1/1] Switch from YAJL to Jansson
While YAJL mostly works fine, it did not see any active development in
the last 3 years. OTOH, Jansson is another JSON C implementation, with
a very liberal license, and a much nicer API.
Hence, switch all of libguestfs from YAJL to Jansson:
- configure checks, and buildsystem in general
- packages pulled in the appliance
- actual implementations
- contrib scripts
- documentation

migrate ext3 to ext4
Hi all,
I issued the commands on a single disk system:
with two partitions / is linux sda1 and /home is sda3
yum -y update
yum -y install e4fsprogs
reboot
umount /home
tune2fs -O extents,uninit_bg,dir_index /dev/sda3
e2fsck -yfDC0 /dev/sda3
That worked just fine.
I then had a different system that is software raid.
where / is linux and md0 and /home is md1
yum -y update

Re: /etc/xen/scripts/network-bridge: line 62: ip:commandnot found
I dont know gentoo, but the package might be called iproute2. You might
also need the bridge-utils.

Spooky networking issue: ping OK on container, stops on VM, restarts with arp -d
I am managing two Xen containers which are exhibiting a spooky behavior.
There are intermittent network failures
that affect only the VM''s, and not dom0. This exhibits itself as problems
with nfs locks, snmp, and even icmp ping.
The arp tables look normal on both the dom0 and the guest. However, it is
definitely arp related. Causing arp
traffic of any sort results the problem curing
