CentOS 6.x, kernel-2.6.32-220.7.1, EC2 and drive enumeration
Hi all, Is anyone successfully running/has succesfully upgraded to 2.6.32-220 from, say, 2.6.32-71.29.1? (i.e. done a normal run-of-the-mill yum update on, say a 6.0 instance all the way up cleanly to 6.2? Reason I ask is that booting into -220 (and I think also into -131 as well) results in a kernel panic for me. Some digging around and the new kernel seems to be enumerating the drives with the

domU startup freezes at "Starting plymouth"
Hi all, I''ve got xen-4.1.1 running with linux-3.0.0-rc5 and am trying to start my first guest, f14-x86_64, which does boot on bare metal. The configs below show kernel, ramdisk, and disk assignments for the virtual machine. They also show that the virtual machine uses the target disk devices. The last section shows part of the boot sequence starting with the disk assignments,

Server patching DC stopped working

I have has this setup for serveral months. Now if I connect to a windows computer I get access denied and it still works on linux via PBIS. If I login to the windows computer with a local account, I can

VFS: Cannot open root device "sda1" or unknown-block(0, 0) -- in domU
Hello again, My kernel is correct, and it''s always been correct. This error only happens if I start two or more VMs in quick sucession. If I wait a short while (i.e. time to figure out why a VM started then died) and try again, it''s fine. For testing purposes I''m using loopback files, 2 for each VM (1 filesystem, 1 swap). -- Mike Williams System Administration

Hi, I wanted to ask it on elli_dbergs''s thread ''problem with xm create'', but it seems that my message was never gonna be published (waited for 24 hours til i figured it was taking way too much time). So i''m working with Xen unstable, installed dom0 over Ubuntu 8.10, no problem so far apparently, reboot on Xen, then I go to /etc/xen to get some example config

dom0 hangs when rebooting debian lenny domU
Dear all, I have a reproducible issue with centos54 dom0 and debian lenny domU using pygrub. As far as I enter "shutdown -r now" in the running Debian Lenny DomU the whole system hangs. Keyboard is dead, network is dead and no more logging. Ending up in a hardware reset of the box. I was able to reproduce this 3 times. Restarting with xm reboot debian50 works without problems. Is there
