Inverse MDCT formula missing from Specification
Hi The inverse MDCT formula seems to be missing from the vorbis specification. From reading the source code of stb_vorbis (http://nothings.org/stb_vorbis/) I've a good idea of what it might be, but cannot find the formula anywhere in the official specification (the one on http://xiph.org/vorbis/doc/Vorbis_I_spec.html ). I also understand that the formula stated in the eusipco_corrected.ps

16 bits FLAC file data to 32 bit float buffer for CPU processing
Hello. I create FLAC file decoding, processing and playing program and have the following question : how to convert FLAC 16 bit file data to 32 bit float buffer for CPU processing? I've already inplemented sound playing and tested it with sine wave - it works without problems; I even made writing into decoding buffer values of sine wave, instead of decoded FLAC file data, and it also works

Setting up the trig tables.
As some of you know, I'm creating a hardware MDCT core. At the moment I'm working out the best way to create a lookup table for the trig values, as set up in mdct_init: /* trig lookups... */ for(i=0;i<n/4;i++){ T[i*2]=FLOAT_CONV(cos((M_PI/n)*(4*i))); T[i*2+1]=FLOAT_CONV(-sin((M_PI/n)*(4*i))); T[n2+i*2]=FLOAT_CONV(cos((M_PI/(2*n))*(2*i+1)));

fixed point code
Hi, I am looking into fixed-point code of the CELT decoder for real-time application. Here are some questions.. [1] array, window[] The array, window[] is being initialized from a function below in modes.c. This array is being initialized differently for the decoder, depending on frame size and sampling freq. of the bitstream .. Could you provide us with fixed-point code for initialization of

broken link in documentation
hello, i'm reading the doc at http://xiph.org/ogg/vorbis/doc/Vorbis_I_spec.html and the link to the paper http://www.iocon.com/resource/docs/ps/eusipco_corrected.ps doesn't work. opus-1.3.1 patch for ARM Cortex-M4F (single precision)
The patch prevents KEIL MDK compile warnings, like:   warning:  #1035-d: single-precision operand implicitly converted to double-precision Actually ARM Cortex-M4F has only a *single precision* (float) FPU. It's suit for all platforms. See the comment at the begin of patch file. Sincerely Forrest Zhang -------------- next part -------------- Specify the floating point constant with single

resample of libopusenc-0.2.1 outputs all zeros if define FIXED_POINT
Actually opus-tools-0.2 has the same issue. Sincerely Forrest Zhang -------------- next part -------------- Add "#define FIXED_POINT 1" into the top of resample.c, outputs of resample are all zeros. the use of the .C function

Error in simulation. NAN
Hi all, im triyng to implement a bayesian model with R and c++. I have a strange problem. I can't reproduce the error with a small script and then i post the original one. The problem is after the line for(MCMC_iter2=0;MCMC_iter2<thin;MCMC_iter2++) For the first 34 iterations all work fine, after, all the simulations of mu_acc_P return an "nan". If i delete the line

[PATCH] Fix const struct to work with C++ compilation
This allows the libopus source files to be compiled with a C++ compiler, by ensuring that the "extern const MLP net" declaration is visible at the point of the "const MLP net" in src/mlp_data.c. Otherwise it will default to static linkage in C++, resulting in an undefined symbol. Note that if compiled with a C++ compiler the symbols will be mangled, so don't do that if

libao on Debian
Hi, I've just installed libao-1.1.0 on a new Debian install. I also have alsa 1.0.27.1 installed. Debian is running under VirtualBox 4.2.12 under OSX 10.6.8, on a MacBookPro. libao does not work in stereo for the sampling rate of 44100, but it does for 8000, 11025, 22050and 48000. When I send it two channel output at a sampling rate of 44100, the result includes what sounds like skips,

1.2rc1
I am in the process of adding speex 1.2rc1 to a project of mine, not via compiling as a static library yet including the source and compiling with my own to create a dynamic link library. This worked fine with the last beta release yet is causing problems with this release candidate. The problem is in the file scal.c which is about M_PI being undefined, this file was added to speex in said

Mac OS X/Darwin patch for libvorbis
This is also pretty simple. Just a small patch to configure.in to set the right compiler flags and changes to os.h to (a) not have deeply nested ifdefs, making the file needlessly hard to read, (b) break up the sections by functionality and (c) don't assume that every non-Win32 has the floating versions of math library functions. -tim Index: configure.in

Speex bitrate
I'm using speex to encode wav files. How does the --bitrate n option (use bit-rate n or lower) afects the quality and time of the encoding? If I don't use that option how speex determines the bitrate to use in encoding? Thanks in advance Miguel Gomes -----Mensagem original----- De: owner-speex-dev@xiph.org em nome de Chris Flerackers Enviada: qui 18-03-2004
