FastIPSec and OCF
Hi, Does FASTIPSec in FreeBSD use OCF framework ? Where can I find more documentation ? I wish to run cryptographic algorithms after setting a VPN. What command should I use to run a particular crytographic algorithm (e.g. 3DES etc.) Where can I find all such information ? -- Regards, Bubble

Stronger security with BSD Firewall and Freeradius
I've seen that is possible to use switch port blocking with freeradius and cisco switches via 802.1X and EAP protocol. Here is more info: http://wiki.freeradius.org/FreeRADIUS_Active_Directory_Integration_HOWTO What if I don't have switch that supports 802.1X or I want that blocking is done by FreeBSD, not the switch. Because FreeBSD is the firewall or gateway to some networks. Is there

Report of collision-generation with MD5
Just got a pointer to this via ACM "TechNews Alert" for today: http://www.acm.org/technews/articles/2004-6/0818w.html#item2 Seems that "... French computer scientist Antoine Joux reported on Aug. 12 his discovery of a flaw in the MD5 algorithm, which is often used with digital signatures...." There's more in the article cited above. Latest openswan update does no longer connect to Cisco VPN 3000 Series
Does anyone else noticed problems after updating openswan to openswan-2.6.32-27.2.el6_5.i686 ? In our case a connection to Cisco VPN 3000 Series would no longer work. I can see in the log an ASSERTION FAILED error and the connection would remain in Pending phase 2. MD5 Collisions...
Hi everyone, Not sure if you've read http://www.win.tue.nl/hashclash/SoftIntCodeSign/ . should some kind of advisory be sent to advise people not to rely solely on MD5 checksums? Maybe an update to the man page is due ? : " MD5 has not yet (2001-09-03) been broken, but sufficient attacks have been made that its security is in some doubt. The attacks on MD5 are in the

GlusterFS, Pacemaker, OCF resource agents on CentOS 7
Hi guys I'm wondering if anyone here is using the GlusterFS OCF resource agents with Pacemaker on CentOS 7? yum install centos-release-gluster yum install glusterfs-server glusterfs-resource-agents The reason I ask is that there seem to be a few problems with them on 3.10, but these problems are so severe that I'm struggling to believe I'm not just doing something wrong. I created

Recent vulnerabilities in xorg-server
Colin, good day! Spotted two patches for x11-servers/xorg-server port: see entries for x11r6.9.0-dbe-render.diff and x11r6.9.0-cidfonts.diff at http://xorg.freedesktop.org/releases/X11R6.9.0/patches/index.html Seems like they are not applied to the xorg-server-6.9.0_5. May be it should be added to the VuXML document? There is a ports/107733 issue that incorporates these patches. May be you

LD_PRELOAD temporary patch
I've used that patch to close the hole. This patch is temporary and doesn't fix real trouble maker - problem in new version in getenv() (after 6.3 it got changed to something monstrous and non-working right if environment has only one variable), hope it will get fixed soon. *** rtld.c.orig Tue Dec 1 16:55:13 2009 --- rtld.c Tue Dec 1 16:55:55 2009 *************** *** 357,374 ****

OpenSwan Drop Out Issue
Hello, I'm cross posting this from the OpenSwan mailing list, in case someone here can help. We have two sites connected via OpenSwan 2.6.32-9 on CentOS 5, sharing 6 /24 subnets each (so 12 in total). The problem we're having is completely randomly, be it in the middle of the day, or in the middle of the night (so I don't believe it's traffic related), certain (and sometimes

Margin question
I am trying to produce a postscript plot consisting of rectangles and text labels in R. It is going very well, but I have been unable to get small margins on the page. I read the documentation on the 'mar' and 'oma' options, but they claim that the margins should default to being 0.25in wide, in fact on my plot they are more like 1in each! Here is the smallest R script that
