Patch : fix configure.in and Makefile.am problems.
Note : I'm subscribed to the list. Please don't CC replies to me.
Hi all,
I am trying to compiler current CV head on a PowerPC G3 Debain system.
Debian test has automake 1.9 which is a little more stringent about
errors than 1.8. The following patch has the following fixes.
0) Remove AC_CANNONIAL_HOST because it has already been invoked
earlier
1) Make sure

PATCH: mandir incorrectly set in Makefile.in
The following is a small patch to Makefile.in that fixes a problem
when --mandir is passed to configure. Currently this (standard)
option is ignored, being overridden via an explicit setting of
MANDIR in configure.

RE: Build break -cc1: error: unrecognized option`-Wdeclaration-after-statement''
''-Wdeclaration-after-statement'' isn''t supported by gcc 3.3 which is what
I am
currently using. It was introduced into Config.mk in changeset
7973:c7508abc5b6b.
I backed out the changes and everything appears to be building okay.

Mac OS X / Darwin patch for vorbis-tools
This patch (along with all the previous patches) gets oggenc and ogg123 working. This does not get vorbiscomment working, although I assume that would be trivial -- just add the getopt stuff to the project just like I did in ogg123.
In addition to this patch, as I just mentioned, getopt1.c getopt.h and getopt.c need to be copied from oggenc to ogg123 and added.

build process patches
Here's an updated set of patches to fix some problems with the build
process. These patches are relevant to the CVS head as of 30 Dec 2000.
Overview:
- Patch 1: Allowing the user to set CFLAGS/LDFLAGS before running
configure in all four modules. All these patches do is essentially:
cflags_save="$CFLAGS"
ldflags_save="$LDFLAGS"

ffmpeg and zoneminder install problems
CentOs zoneminder users,
I have been trying to install zoneminder on Centos 5.3
(2.6.18-128.1.16.el5xen) and have hit a brick wall with ffmpeg
which zoneminder has as a dependancy.
There were no rpm's in centos or rpmforge so I have followed the
instructions on the zoneminder website for a CentOs install.
I have posted a note on the zoneminder list, but have not been able to
get any takers

xen-unstable - make[4]: [cpuperf-xen] Error 1
Hi!
I''ve been working for a while to build a package that automatically
builds and installs xen-unstable. I don''t want to go into package build
steps because I think it is irrelevant. I sorted out all problems with
the package itself but I found out I''m getting the below errors:
make -C cpuperf

[PATCH] use HOSTCC to determine HOSTCFLAGS
Hi.
HOSTCC should be used to set HOSTCFLAGS instead of CC.
There is a case where HOSTCC doesn''t accept -Wdeclaration-after-statement,
while CC does. It results in a compilation error.
This patch fixes it

Help....package "GPLOTS" will not install. Linux
Hello,
Apologies in advance if this is not the appropriate forum for this post.
My problem is I'm not able to install the package "GPLOTS". Below are
the outputs for the commands: sessionInfo() and
install.packages("gplots",dependencies=TRUE).
It seems the package "GDATA" is part of the problem but I'm not an
expert in this. The "GDATA" package

ISP down internal phones become unavailable
I saw the following lines in the log this morning. From my router logs
I see that the connection went down as my ISP was doing maintenance
for a few minutes last night. I can understand the external
registrations timing out, but why do the phones become unreachable.
They are on the internal lan within the same subnet as the Asterisk
server. Internal DHCP and DNS was functional. If I had a PRI card

Compiling old wine versions in opensuse 11.1
dear forum
I am hoping somebody can help me compile relatively old versions of wine (~0.9.10 -> 0.9.23) on openSuSE 11.1. I have a dual boot of opensuse 11.1 x86_32 and x86_64 and have had no luck with either.
I have successfully compiled wine 1.1.11 but have have the same failure with 0.9.10 and 0.9.20.
Code:
> ./configure --prefix=/usr --x-libraries=/usr/X11R6/lib

[PATCH] Fix compiler warnings that prevent compilation
Counteract incorrect use of the "deprecated" attribute in ffmpeg
headers. In particular, struct AVPaletteControl is deprecated, but it's
used in a non-deprecated struct AVCodecContext (as found in Fedora's
ffmpeg-devel-0.4.9-0.8.20070530.fc7.x86_64). Define
attribute_deprecated to an empty string until broken version of ffmpeg
are too obsolete to support.
