Duplicate rows of matrix
Hello my problem is the following:
I have a matrix A and a vector B which contains as many rows as A.
I need to build a matrix C which contains B[i]-times the row A[i,] and this for each line of A.
if for example A is
[1] [2]
[1] 8 9.4
[2] 4.2 1.1
and B is (3,1). Then C will be:
[1] [2]
[1] 8 9.4
[2] 8 9.4
[3] 8 9.4
[4] 4.2 1.1
I have some

optional fields in function declarations; Solved
thank you to both Adaikalavan and Patrick.
on the basis of Adaikalavan example this is an example that point out my problems.
>log_raise=function(num, exp, base){return(log(num^exp,base))}
I would like to have optional fields, so some settings to be default parameters;
if I declare the function as above the operator must of course input all the variables.
Finally I could fix as follow.

Find zeros of analytic functions
Dear Partecipants to the list,
I am Enrico Foscolo, a student of the Faculty of Statistics, University of Bologna,
and I am interested under consideration of the search of zeros of one function.
I would want to write a code using the software R.
I have already read the book "Computing the Zeros of Analytic Functions" (P. Kravanja and M. Van Barel, 2000) that speaks about this problem,

libao: ogg123 branch ready
A branch of ogg123 is in CVS now which you can use to test the libao
prerelease. Because of the way I did the branch, checkout is a little screwy
(as Monty once said: "Know thy tools!").
(I am assuming here that you already have CVSROOT set correctly.)
cvs co vorbis-tools # Notice there is no tag here!
cd vorbis-tools/ogg123
cvs update -r volsung_20010721
Or, if you already have

Apologies : question on transforming a table
Dear R-help list,
Apologies. I am trying to convert one table to another. It feels that it
should be a very straightforward answer with a single (or two) commands with
the right extensions, but I really can't figure this out right now. I have
several hundred pheno factors actually, so manually doing this line by line
is not an option.
My original table is approximately like this :

Pulse AO plugin priority
Just a quick note that the priority in the Pulse AO
plugin (ao/src/plugins/pulse/ao_pulse.c) should be
changed from 41 to 50 (in the ao_pulse_info struct).
Since the plugin now ships as part of libao, its
priority should be a factor of 5, as that's how I
designed the plugin priority system. Plugins that
ship with libao should be a factor of 5, so that 3rd
party plugins can fit in between

Release 0.8.8 of GPL PV drivers for Windows
In the spirit of ''release early, release often'', here''s another binary
release...

The only thing that''s changed since 0.8.7 is that xennet should work
under amd64 again.

libao patch
I hope this is the right place to submit libao patches -- the
freshmeat page points to ogg vorbis as the homepage for libao.
Currently, at least on my system (SB Live Value!, ALSA .9 branch),
stuff going to alsa sounds *awful* because of too-small buffers.
mpg321 and similar programs are unusable, and none of them seem to
want to let you set the buffer size. This patch lets an environment
