Hello - I have two files which play back in VLC correctly. They were encoded using this command: ffmpeg -y -i '/tmp/2e905b981d30324f9a0664cbabb3f59a20170406-21128-r0neh9.wav' -acodec libvorbis '/tmp/2e905b981d30324f9a0664cbabb3f59a20170406-21128-r0neh920170406-21128-146yyex.ogg However ov_pcm_total reports a zero length for one of the two files. Ogg ouput using libvorbisfile
Hi, I'm new to writing any kind of sound program and somewhat new to C. I am on linux and I've been trying to get the example code (http://www.xiph.org/ogg/vorbis/doc/vorbisfile/example.html)for the decoder using libvorbisfile to work. I think my main problem is output to /dev/dsp. If I use the example where the only change I made were to open a file instead of using stdin and I ouput

When I call "ov_open_callbacks" it generates a message error. Here is my procedure in pascal: code: _____ procedure GetOGMInfo; var F : TFileStream; vf: OggVorbis_File; res: integer; begin F :=

[Vorbis-dev] Zero length reported.
Okay - so I stepped through the code slowly this morning making notes as I went. And I can see what’s wrong. The last Ogg header of the troublesome file contains -1 as the granule position. The spec says this has a special meaning "A special value of '-1' (in two's complement) indicates that no packets finish on this page." 4F 67 67 53 00 04 FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF 16 A2

Is it possible to seek different Ogg Vorbis encoded packets from the File?
Hi All, I am trying to program the 'Tremor' decoder onto an array of Processors. I am using four Processors. I did this experiment: I split the while(!eof){} in the main() in to four tasks using if(!eof) statements. In this modification, each if() decodes one packet of data at-a-time, sequentially. Then, I ran the code on a single Processor and the decoding was successful. The

Vorbisgain in ogg123
I'm considering patching my copy of ogg123 to support vorbisgain tags. Is there any interest in folding this sort of patch into the main line ogg123? Has anyone done this already (or to another command line ogg player)? Hello - I send this to the vorbis-dev list yesterday, but I’m working if it would not have been better targeted at this list. Nortel ATA not passing dtmf tones to fxo
I am trying to integrate a Nortel Norstar system with an Asterisk service using a TDM04B card (4 fxo). So far everyting works from Asterisk to Nortel. The problem is when someone dials from the Nortel PBX to the Asterisk server. Asterisk answers the call and provides a dialtone (with DISA) but appartently the DTMF tones are not passed to asterisk and the call cannot proceed. This only

Hi! I'd like to encode from a 22050 Hz source wav file (only in that case), but i get the following error message: "Invalid floating point operation" I use delphi: vorbis_encode_init_vbr(vi,2,22050,0.5) . . . As for VBR, just try it. :) --- >8 ---- List archives:

Pushing a file only if another does not exist.
I am trying to write a module for tripwire. I need to push out the twcfg.txt and twpol.txt files only if the tw.cfg and tw.pol files do not currently exist. How can do I this with File{}? I''m can''t seem to find a way to do it. In general times, how can you deploy file A only when file B does not exist? And... tripwire... what a mess. I am trying to use push out the site key,

Sound glitch when using libvorbisfile and libao
Hi Gunter, I think this problem started happening when I upgraded from Debian Wheezy to Debian Jessie. If nothing looks amiss in my code, it probably is a sound driver problem. But since it works 100% of the time in ogg123, I feel I must have missed some corner case. My audio driver is almost always active. I usually have my music player going in the background when I do my testing. The problem

question about vorbis_synthesis_blockin
I'm looking at the vorbis_synthesis_blockin and pcmout functions, and I'm confused about the positioning and determination of centerW wrt adding in the next set of data. Specifically, it seems legal (in vorbis_synthesis_pcmout) to return to the user any data up to the centerW position; however, in vorbis_synthesis_blockin, if you have a long block following a short block, it is legal to

Although, if i give greater than 0.9, encoding is halt with "floating point division by zero" message. Why? Thank you for your reply, crc --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Sound glitch when using libvorbisfile and libao
Hi Gunter, I've solved the sound glitch. Since it was hard to reproduce, it took me a while, but I eventually figured it out. What I needed to do was fill the buffer with more data before handing it off to ao_play. It requires lots of bookkeeping, pointer arithmetic, and a sufficiently large buffer. First, the bigger buffer. I just pulled this code from ogg123: #define PRIMAGIC
