application/ogg is a proposed Internet standard.
The IETF passed the application/ogg MIME type some days ago. I couldn't bring you the news earlier because of the MS SQL worm that has been wreaking havoc all over my local networks. The IETF wants some clarifications in Silivias draft for the Ogg stream format, but apart from that I think it will also be passed soon. The RFC and IANA registration of this mimetype will probably be published

can't demux with ogminfo / need to re-pac OGV to MKV
Hello, I need to demux video files created with ffmpeg2theora 0.28+svn18147 I have ogminfo v1.5 and getting this error (ogminfo.c) OGG stream 1 is of an unknown type (bad header?) (ogminfo.c) OGG stream 2 is of an unknown type (bad header?) (ogminfo.c) (a1/serial 1092562206) Vorbis audio (channels 2 rate 48000) Is possible, that ogminfo is older then ffmpeg2theora ? Or what can be the reason?

a few questions
>http://www.m4if.org/resources.html > See also http://www.mpeg4ip.net/ which has a lot of open source and available MPEG-4 code available. The licensing issue is still a mess, although they hope to make it at least coherent "real soon now". Use at your own risk. BTW, there is no MP4. The equivalent audio codec is the Dolby AAC. failing to select a subset of observations based on variable values [Sec: UNCLASSIFIED]
Greetings all. I'm starting analysis in R on a reasonably sized pre-existing dataset, of 583 variables and 1127 observations. This was an SPSS datafile, which I read in using the read.spss command using the foreign package, and the data was assigned to a data.frame when it was read in. The defaults in read.spss were used, except I set to.data.frame = TRUE. The data is a survey dataset (each

tapply problem
Hello everybody. I have a question that has stumped me and the usual "apply" tricks don't seem to work. I run a course where each student's performance is marked by one or more assessors. I have a data frame containing students' names, assessors' names and their marks, arranged as follows: ID student assessor Q1A Q1B Q1C Q2A Q2B Q3 1 2152833

Test files for decoder implementation
Hi, I am trying to implement a Vorbis decoder in Java, and I have some problems understanding the file-format specification included with libvorbis. In the header description, there are a few obvious mistakes, which I believe to have solved, but when I try to decode the audio packets, the decoded floor and residue data doesn't seem to make sense at all, and after a few packets, my decoder

help - Theora/Vorbis/Ogg, ogmmerge and ffmpeg2theora
Hi, I'm probably being fairly stupid. But I did the following, starting with the following two files: # tcprobe -i vts_01.m2v [tcprobe] MPEG elementary stream (ES) [tcprobe] summary for vts_01.m2v, (*) = not default, 0 = not detected import frame size: -g 720x576 [720x576] aspect ratio: 16:9 (*) frame rate: -f 25.000 [25.000] frc=3 # tcprobe -i vts_01.m2a

New Directshow filters preview...
I have been developing some directshow filters for ogg, and vorbis and speex... currently i have an ogg demux filter and a speex/vorbis decoding filter. In this pre-release only vorbis is operational... but the speex decoder is pretty much done... i jsut need to tweak the demux filter so that it can negotiate a speex connection with the other filter. Just though some people might find them useful

So, is there another place to get images for Xen 3?

high frequencies response
Hi there In the past, i have used lame to encode high quality mp3-files (vbr 1, bitrate ~ 192kbit). I tend to switch to ogg with Quality 4 or 5, but i noticed, that many ogg-files tend to produce too much high frequencies response. In many cases, this is very noticeable. For my opinion, i cannot accept this worse frequence reponse. I have used latest version of ogg (OggEnc v1.0, precompiled

Floor type 0 and residues type 0 and 1
Hi, it seems to me as if all vorbis-files only contain floors of type 1 and residues of type 2. Is it possible to "force" the encoder to somehow create a vorbis-file with the other floor and residue types? My issues with ogg and directshow...
Listening to the meeting on granule pos tonight/today it became clear that the issues everyone is concerned with for the most part don't affect my implementations and the issues i have pretty much don't affect anyone else... and in the cases where they overlap, the reasoning seems to be different. And since everyone else has had a lot more time to consider all these issues and i'm

Master user
Hi, I'd like to have a master user that can read the other users mailboxes. I have only one user who read and write the mail (i.e. I use the static userdb) and I use namespace for public and shared mailboxes. I can authenticate to the server but I am not able to list the mailboxes: > emiliano at dovecot:~$ telnet localhost imap > Trying 127.0.0.1... > Connected to localhost. >

Q: [OT] concatenating audio files
Hi, this is a bit off-topic, but maybe you can help me: When extracting the autio track of a concert on video DVD, I noticed that the *.VOB files each contained only about 16 minutes of music, resulting in multiple files. I extracted to flac for further processing, but now I wonder how to make one continuous sound stream of those: Can I simple concatenate the flac files to make on big file

Setup of discontinuous stream demux
I am putting together an ogg mux/demux application which uses two logical streams. One is a vorbis stream, the other is some application specific data. This came together really quickly, following the ogg/vorbis documentation it took only a few hours to get it up and running. Just a small question... My application stream is currently running as a continuous stream but really I want it to be
