Specifications
Hello,
I would like to know how to find out the specifications (flow chart, transforms, tables, windowing operations, bitstream formatting) used to encode/decode audio in OggVorbis format. I mean something similar to the ISO/IEC 11172-3 document for MPEG-I and the like.
Regards,

Generate YARD docs for modulepath
Hi, Puppet 3.1 now uses YARD to generate its API documentation. Is anybody
aware of the possibility to generate nice YARD docs for a given module
path, replacing the default RDOC-style site from "puppet doc --modulepath
..."? Could the YARD Template from Puppet 3.1 be used for this?

Dependency resolution for packages
Hi, I have a simple use case, but can''t get the dependency resolution
to work on first run. This is not critical, but I want to understand
what''s going on. Here''s the szenario:

Dear List Members,
I need some help about programming in S language. My
problem is as follows:
I have meteorological data (about rainfall measurement

Non-Linear Regression Problem
Dear all,
I was wondering if there is any way i could do a "Grid Search" on a
parameter space using R (as SAS 6.12 and higher can do it) to start the
Newton-Gauss Linearization least squares method when i have NO prior
information about the parameter.

SLES11: facter without arguments produces Error: uninitialized constant Facter::IPAddress
Hi, I run into problems with the ipaddress fact using the latest
Facter gem (1.6.4, 1.6.5) on SLES11. The versions and gems I use work
perfectly fine on SLES10 SP3.
The problem: running "facter" without arguments results in an error,
even though the erroring fact "ipaddress" is ok.

Performance of low quality / low sample rate
Hi everyone.
I did a rough recording of an instrumental (electric piano sound) & e-mailed it to a friend in Vorbis 11025 Hz / mono. I was seeking a bitrate in the range 8-16k/sec. The song is 2:55 in length. q=-1 happily achieved a 12.6k/sec bitrate. All file sizes I mention in this are for files without informational tags.
And I hope this isn't interpreted as trying to plug my music or

possible that Andres is not aware of the GPL terms that he has to adhere

I just installed samba on my private home network. It looks like I only have
read access to shares. Using swat, I changed the create, security, and
directory mask to 777, and committed the changes. But I still can't write. Can
someone tell me what I did wrong?

Is there a diferent way to do this?
Hi,
I started creating a small class but I'm courious about how it is working.
To create a instance of my class "Partri" I write this at Rgui:
x <- new("Partri", name="Gilvan")
and to change the slot "name" of this instance, I write:
setName(x, newname="Justino")
It is not working, because when I type "x" at Rgui, it shows

R and DDE (Dynamic Data Exchange)
R and DDE (Dynamic Data Exchange)
Dear Rusers,
I run an application (not mine) which acts as a DDE server.
I would like to use R to get data from this application,
say once per minute, and do some processing on it.
I didn't find much info on the R DDE abilities, apart the tcltk2
package in which I will try to go deeper.
I would be very thankful for any info, pointer or advice about the

[LLVMdev] BasicAA unable to analyze recursive PHI nodes
Hi all,
I came across the following limitation in our BasicAliasAnalysis. This
happens with the following IR pattern:
%x = phi [ %incptr, ... ] [ %var, ... ]
%incptr = getelementptr %x, 1
We will basically always return MayAlias for %x and any other value
because aliasPHI recurses on the first value and gives up.
There are, however, many cases where this is too conservative.

MDCT document
Hi
On http://www.xiph.org/ogg/vorbis/doc/vorbis-spec-intro.html there is a
link to a document titled 'The use of multirate filter banks for coding
of high quality digital audio' that explains window functions for iMDCT.
I would very much like to read that document, but the link is broken.
If someone would send me the document or a working link to it, I would be
very happy.
