mdct.c pointer to array conversion
Hi all, I'm attempting to convert all the pointers to arrays the mdct_backward function so it can be partitioned off for a hardware implementation. Although this code is quite short I'm finding it a little tricky. As it stands, mdct_backward is passed values by reference i.e. void mdct_backward(mdct_lookup *init, DATA_TYPE *in, DATA_TYPE *out) o my modified version starts void

[RFC PATCH v1 0/3] Introducing ARM SIMD Support
libvorbis does not currently have any simd/vectorization. Following patches add generic framework for simd/vectorization and on top, add ARM-NEON simd vectorization using intrinsics. I was able to get over 34% performance improvement on my Beaglebone Black which is single Cortex-A8 based CPU. You can find more information on metrics and procedure I used to measure at

MDCT input and output data blocks
Hi, I'm trying to determine how the frequency data that is passed to the MDCT, and output time domain data obtained from the MDCT, is changed when setting #define MDCT_INTEGERIZED For instance, the trig array, for a size 256 window begins 1.000000 0.000000 0.998795 -0.049068 0.995185 -0.098017 if INTEGERIZED is set, then it begins 16384 0 16364 -803 16305 -1605 which is simply a left shift

[RFC PATCH v1] armv7(float): Optimize decode usecase using NE10 library
Optimize opus decode (float only) use case using ARM NE10. Mainly effects opus_ifft and ctl_mdct_backward and related functions. Work based on previous Encode optimization using ARM NE10 library. TBD: Add commit id of upstream Encode NE10 optimization patch so that users have reference of how to enable this optimization Signed-off-by: Viswanath Puttagunta <viswanath.puttagunta at

rails 3.2 question/answer with a through table
I have a person has many questions through person_questions. I have an extra column in the join table for the answer. The section below works for a new submit but when I edit I get 3 each with the first 2 of each selected tand the third not so I get 6 check boxes some selected some not. Is there a way to get this to work properly os just the questions in the db show up once each with the

[test-suite] making polybench/symm succeed with "-Ofast" and "-ffp-contract=on"
Hi, I would need some help to fix polybench/symm: void kernel_symm(int ni, int nj, DATA_TYPE alpha, DATA_TYPE beta, DATA_TYPE POLYBENCH_2D(C,NI,NJ,ni,nj), DATA_TYPE POLYBENCH_2D(A,NJ,NJ,nj,nj), DATA_TYPE POLYBENCH_2D(B,NI,NJ,ni,nj)) { int i, j, k; DATA_TYPE acc; /* C := alpha*A*B + beta*C, A is symetric */ for (i = 0; i < _PB_NI; i++) for (j = 0; j < _PB_NJ; j++) {

Clean separation of encode and decode?
Is anybody interested in cleanly separating encode and decode in vorbis? I'm trying to take a stab at it myself from the head of cvs as of this morning, but it looks like a lot of files contain both encode-only and decode-only functions. An obvious one is mdct.c, which contains mdct_forward and mdct_backward (which isn't that big of a deal, since both are pretty well-contained, but it

Setting up the trig tables.
As some of you know, I'm creating a hardware MDCT core. At the moment I'm working out the best way to create a lookup table for the trig values, as set up in mdct_init: /* trig lookups... */ for(i=0;i<n/4;i++){ T[i*2]=FLOAT_CONV(cos((M_PI/n)*(4*i))); T[i*2+1]=FLOAT_CONV(-sin((M_PI/n)*(4*i))); T[n2+i*2]=FLOAT_CONV(cos((M_PI/(2*n))*(2*i+1)));

Make check failure on clone from 31 January
Good catch! I think gcc is just unable to make use of restrict for anything useful. Apparently your compiler does, so could you benchmark both patches below and see if it makes a difference in terms of speed. If it's worth it, I can keep the restrict and add the odd case handling, but if not I'll just remove the restrict. Thanks, Jean-Marc On 21/02/14 05:54 PM, Marcello Caramma

Make check failure on clone from 31 January
I tracked down the bug to an incorrect use of restrict. I would not consider this a compiler bug: we are lying to the optimizer by telling it that a pointer is restrict when in fact it isn't. This can be fixed like so: diff --git a/celt/mdct.c b/celt/mdct.c index 1634e8e..fa5098c 100644 --- a/celt/mdct.c +++ b/celt/mdct.c @@ -276,8 +276,8 @@ void clt_mdct_backward(const mdct_lookup *l,

Unexpected parameter problem using rsaga.geoprocessor() {RSAGA}
Hello, I discovered SAGA, an interesting free GIS, a few days ago and now, I would like to use it from within R 2.6.2 using the RSAGA package. I read the documentation for this package and thought that I understood it correctly for trying to call some of the SAGA modules. For getting the information on the usage of and arguments required by the SAGA command line "Import Binary Raw

Log question
development.log contains quite a few SELECTS on system tables like COLUMNS. Wouldn''t it be more efficient to cache this info? I''m also wondering about strings like "[4;35;1m". What''s their purpose and is it possible to get rid of them? They look like screen coordinates and makes no sense in a text file. Christer Processing ReportController#create (for
