[LLVMdev] [PATCH] Select correct embedded libclang_rt on Darwin
> When you decide to work on MachO/Darwin, I want to discuss the problems with ELF vs. EABI (http://llvm.org/PR18187). Well, I'm doing it now to some extent (working on disentangling the ARM backend's various uses of isTargetIOS, isTargetDarwin, isMoonFull as a starting-point). The thing is, the main advantage of Triples is that they're largely GCC-compatible. Without that

OGG --> MP3 conversion app?
hello all does anyone know of a utility convert OGG to MP3 and prehapes MP3 to OGG? While i use ogg for everything on my computer, my discman only plays MP3 files, so a nice program where i can drag and drop folders to reencode to MP3 would be a very nice thing to have indeed. Kinda like oggdrop but mp3drop. if there isn't i might just attempt to write one (i'm just 1st year

mixing and 'downgrading' of vorbis-files
Greetings, I was wondering some things: For a internet radio-station (e.g. using mp3 and hopefully using ogg soon), appart from the basic 'streaming' functionallity, there are two things that are also important - mixing music - 'downgrading' a signal to a lower datarate. Concerning 'mixing' music, it would be interesting to be able to mix two ogg-files without the need to

AW: PlusV algorithm -> CBR
fwiw, there are definitely applications that would use Vorbis but can't until there is a _strict_ CBR mode. Meaning, architecturally the datarate simply cannot exceed X no matter what happens to the quality. Send silence if you have to, but limit the datarate. -dbm -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Name: winmail.dat Type: application/ms-tnef

In many cases, the concatenation works even if the bitrate does not correspond (correct me if I am

high bitrate quality?
Hi all, I used vorbis several years ago because of its freeness and VBR, but after playing ha.org and getting an mp3-capable discman, I switched to APS and API mp3 encoding. Now, I am liking musepack a lot, but the flexibility is more "there" for the vorbis format, including players, tagging comments (lyrics in the comments - killer idea!), etc.... However, I am a bit worried

question about ogg mapping
Question: is it permissible to put more than one frame packet into a page? At 30 fps, Ogg page overhead is on the order of 8 - 10 kbits/sec. At low datarates, this is going to be unacceptable. If I shove a few frames into a page, how does this affect the granulepos stuff? ___ Dan Miller (++,) Founder, On2 Technologies <p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/

pop before smtp with 'exact' and 'exim4'
Hello, I just thought I would write this in case its useful to anyone. I've used dovecot for a while, as its so easy to set up, its fast and it and just "works". I recently wanted to be able to send via my server after pop3s authentication. I'm also running debian (testing) which utilises exim4 by default. I found no information about how to do it with this combination of

High CPU load on smiod
Hi all, I'm running Samba 3.0.13 on Mandrake 10.2 (LE2005) and have mounted the shares on an NT4 server to rsync the files over to the Samba box. The only thing is that Linux sees the dual Xeons in the server as four CPUs and the first core on CPU1 hits 100% while the files are copying over. Every so often, CPU1, core 2 takes over (at 100%) for a short period and then core 1 goes back to

id mapping and tdbsam
Hi All, I have samba 3.0.23 running on Ubuntu and have a problem with ID maps. When viewing file permissions on the PDC (Samba 3.0.20/Redhat EL4) Win XP resolves the SID/RID to NT user and group names. With the Ubuntu mamber server however, it shows only the SID. I checked that the user and group idmaps in Samba's Winbind setting were matching ranges and even deleted the contents of

Adding samba users via a script
Hi all, I have a script that I wish to implement for adding users and samba users in bulk. I'm running Samba 3.0.13 on Mandriva LE2005 although the script dates back to samba 2 days. The script works by reading the user's name, password and group from a text file, first generating Unix user accounts and then running: /usr/bin/smbpasswd -a -s $user $pwd > /dev/null to add the smb

cracking smbpasswd
Hi all, I'm currently migrating from tdbsam to LDAP and want to restructure my setup at the same time. I can get the SIDs for the user and machine accounts using pdbedit -Lv | grep SID but I have 800 users so I don't want to reset their passwords. So far, I've dumped the contents of the tdbsam database into an smbpasswd backup file and am running john-the-ripper across it.

OpenLDAP and Samba - password expiration.
Hi all, I have a Samba PDC with an LDAP backend. Yesterday, I tried to add a new machine to the network and received the following message: The following error occurred attempting to join the domain: The password of this user has expired Not a problem I thought, and then ran smbldap-usermod -e "2010-12-30 00:00:00" root to extend the password date. If I now try to connect a

Domain Administrator problems
Hi All, I have a tdbsam backend on Samba PDC and am trying to set a user up as a domain admin. I read that instead of the old admin users line in smb.conf you now use net groupmap to map unix groups to NT groups. I have a user called toni in unix group admins and have run: net groupmap add rid=512 ntgroup="Domain Admins" unixgroup=admins running: net groupmap list gives: Domain

Shorewall redirect with Squid and Dansguardian
Hi all, I''ve just built Mandrake 10.1 on a Compaq Deskpro that I''ve built as a router/firewall and am redirecting port 80 outbound to force users through the Content Filter. I''ve run this setup on Mandrake 9.0 and 10.0 without any problems but this time the following happens. Squid is accessed through port 3128 and Dansguardian via 8080. If I set my browser on a
