WERR_DS_DRA_MISSING_PARENT while Joining Samba4 DC to Samba4 Domain
OK, we're getting closer here I think. I repeated with -d 2 without much help. Here is -d 3, which may point us in the right direction. As I suspected, it seems to point to some corruption in the DNS still, perhaps? The key line seems to be here: Missing parent while attempting to apply records: No parent with GUID 60e25dda-6d35-4aab-bfa5-6137cb271e27 found for object remotely known as

WERR_DS_DRA_MISSING_PARENT while Joining Samba4 DC to Samba4 Domain
Yes, I am running 4.7.3 on both servers. One has been upgraded (many times). The new one, obviously, is freshly installed. I am running DNS on the domain controller. In fact, I'm running all the default "server services". As I said, I have had some problems in the past, and for a while the DNS was not working (perhaps due to some database corruption) and I had to switch it off in

TrackMania Nations Forever certain tracks unplayable
Hello I'm using wine 1.1.37 and TM Forever 2.11.21 en on Kubuntu Karmic. Most track play fine (with compositing turned off), but on some tracks the framerate is so low (1-2 fps) they are unplayable. These tracks include: A01, D08, E01, and a couple more. I tried lowering resolution, using windowed mode, unticking effects ckeckboxes in advanced configuration and it didn't help even a bit.

tracks=heads*sectors?
Hi, I always thought that tracks=heads*cylinders or so, but now commit 174d92a09a250c64451d8340219a89593172b056 [...] Add a field for the number of tracks (number of heads*sectors). Heads*sectors would instead be the number of sectors per cylinder as I understand it. How does this fit together? -- Thanks, Feri.

New tags for better transitions between tracks.
Hi All, I've been playing with some new metadata tags for a while and I think I'm ready to share the joy. I've set up a puny webserver at http://phippo.is-a-geek.com/mixramp.html (please don't slashdot it) with some patches to implement and use the tags. The patch for metaflac applies to the current CVS FLAC and adds the command line option --add-mix-ramp. This is a

VCD tracks to theora
Hello, I am looking for a way to convert VCD tracks to theora. I'd rather a command line tool. What would you suggest me? I already found I can do that with mplayer, by ripping to yuv and wav, then using the encoder_example to compress to theora, but would there be another better way? -- ASPO Infog?rance http://aspo.rktmb.org/activites/infogerance Unofficial FAQ fcolc

"EMI takes locks off music tracks"
EMI has introduced a second tier price for DRM free tracks at higher quality (256kbps vs 128), which Apple will be distributing soon. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/6516189.stm It's obviously being introduced in a marketing-friendly way, but this is an interesting move as it also means Apple will be moving away from proprietary format lock- in (very slightly). -- imalone
