US Yahoo offers copy-free music
Not directly relevant to Vorbis, but it seems that some people are coming to realise the true value of DRM: "Our position is simple: DRM doesn't add any value for the artist, label (who are selling DRM-free music every day - the Compact Disc), or consumer, the only people it adds value to are the technology companies who are interested in locking consumers to a particular technology

Hi all, I'm a newbie and I have a configuration problem with Asterisk. Seems that I'm not able to call an outbound number. I'm quite sure that it is a configuration problem, but I'm not able to find out where is the mistake, even reading several docs to www.voip-info.org. I do not have a good knowledge of Asterisk, I'm not very familiar with its configuration and I've a

Why host-up script triggered even not ConnectTo?
Oh, thanks, in my current case, I haven’t config “Address” parameter in A’s host config, is this will make A prohibited it listen on the tinc ports? Question: 1. if I config “Address” in A’s config, and even though A is in a private subnet, it might still possible for A to establish connection with X(X is public IP address)? 2. If there any parameter to disable the direct connection discovery,

Why host-up script triggered even not ConnectTo?
H, Narcissus Quick one for the below case, if node A have a direct connection to node B, and node B have a connection to node X, then I found node A will be able to talk to node X, but the communication path is go through node B, instead of build direct connection between A and X, is that right? I tested this in my environment. A >> B >> X > On 1 May 2017, at 3:07 PM, Narcissus

metadata
I think I'm going to regret asking this, but is there any more information on Ogg metadata other than what's at <http://wiki.xiph.org/Metadata>? Is there a more appropriate list for discussing it? I'm sending this to the vorbis list because ogg-dev seems to see very little traffic, and none of the others seems to be very relevant (this happens to be the one I'm subscribed

[LLVMdev] Apple to move to Intel CPU's
Apple are to move over to Intel CPU's :- http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2005/jun/06intel.html http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/4612951.stm Big shame, narrowing of the market, and probably the end of the PowerPC. TDM400p susceptible to EMI?
I have a TDM400p with 3 fxs and 1 fxo daughter cards. It's in a mini-itx case with a 'right-angle' PCI riser card so the TDM400p is 'sandwiched' between the Atom D525 CPU and the 2.5" hard drive. I'm getting a bunch of clicks and pops on all ports. Has anybody had a similar experience? Did you find a solution? -- Thanks in advance,

[LLVMdev] Apple to move to Intel CPU's
I wouldn't count the PowerPC out entirely, as it will continue to be used in game platforms (and maybe other embedded platforms?). But yes, in the desktop hardware market, it seems there's now only one game in town. Rob On Jun 12, 2005, at 11:16 AM, Aaron Gray wrote: > Apple are to move over to Intel CPU's :- >   >

Prototype Size?
There''s a good article at http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/4616700.stm that says, in a nutshell, that people form their impression of a Web site in 50 milliseconds. With an 80K download for prototype, that leads me to ask: "how can page sizes be trimmed and still use cool features"? I recognize that browsers may feel free to download these scripts asynchronously, but
