icecast and LAC2005
Hi,
I gave a talk at last month's DCLUG[0] meeting on icecast and how we
used it at LAC2005[1]. I was trying to stream the talk live while also
trying to give the talk and host the meeting.
I had the streaming working fine, but then hosed my laptop trying to get
the video output to cooperate with the projector. I guess that should
teach me to not try to stream and present using the same

video streaming
Hi,
We're planning to launch a video stream.
We do not have anything yet (no camera, no computer, no software, only a
Linux server that will do the broadcasting with icecast installed).
Has anyone ever done such a thing? What hardware do you suggest? What
software can be used (both for Linux and Windows on source side). Can
Icecast be used for this video streaming purpose (on server side)?

FFmpeg Theora encoding patch
Hi,
Attached is my patch to add theora encoding to ffmpeg's libavcodec (by
using libtheora). I am requesting help to fix the bug I mention below
and am seeking general comments before I submit the patch properly.
Files encoded using this encoder have a problem playing in VLC. The
files will not play unless "Drop late frames" has been unticked in the
advanced video settings.

ATM with linux router
Does anyone here have experience with an ATM connection from their ISP
running into a linux based router?
We have a DS3 circuit for which we we thought we could use an SBE
wanpci-1t3 card. The isp verified the card would work with their
network, but apparantly didn''t cross check the particular circuit they
were providing us.
Is it possible to do the IP packet <-> ATM cell

drawing filled countries according to data using map('world')? - follow up
Hello,
this is a follow up on my previous inquiry regarding the use of the map
library (Becker and Wilks 1993).
Using the 'world' database I would like to draw filled countries in a world
map so that the filling colors of each country corresponds to the value of a
policy variable "fix.float" at a specific "year" (the goal is to visualize a
policy diffusion pattern

Other domain sequence numbers are -1
Everyone,
I have configured a new SLES 10 server exactly the same as I
had previously configured a SLES 9 server. The only difference is the
version of samba. On the SLES 10 server, I am running the 3.0.23c
level, the SLES 9 server is behind a little. My problem is with
connecting to other AD domains. Only my default domain has a valid
sequence number. All the other domains are

As I understand it, a source client has to specify a mount point when it
connects.
If that mount point was already specified in the icecast server config,
then the associated
