Show windows users/groups of a mounted smb filesystem.
Hi, I have setup linux as a member server (fedora 1), it authenticates against a w2k AD server and runs winbind. I modified the login pam file so can login to the linux box with my windows account. After login I see my windows "home" directory that is mounted from a windows w2k fileserver. All described above works fine the only problem I have that I don't see the owner/group of

problem with hist() for 'times' objects from 'chron' package
Hello dear useRs and wizaRds, I encountered the following problem using the hist() method for the 'times' classes from package 'chron'. You should be able to recreate it using the code: library(chron) # pasted from chron help file (?chron) dts <- dates(c("02/27/92", "02/27/92", "01/14/92", "02/28/92", "02/01/92")) class(dts)

possible bug in xYplot and smean.cl.normal
I'm using R (2.4.1) and Hmisc (3.3-1), and I'd like to plot confidence intervals using xYplot and smean.cl.normal (or smean.cl.boot) from Hmisc. You can do that using the summarize() to produce a new data.frame and then plot with xYplot, or by specifying method=smean.cl.normal in the xYplot. Both produce very similar graphs in all trivial examples I've tried, but not in the attached

deparse, substitute and S4 generics
Hello everyone, I encountered the following confusing behavior of 'deparse' and 'substitute' while programming with S4 classes (see example below). It seems like the presence of '...' argument in the definition of the generic generates the problem. I have no clue why, can anyone explain that to me? Are there any "workarounds"? Thanks a lot for your time!

initalizing and checking validity of S4 classes
Dear useRs and wizaRds, I am currently developing a set of functions using S4 classes. On the way I encountered the problem exemplified with the code below. For some reason the 'validity' method does not seem to work, i.e. does not check for errors in the specification of the slots of the defined class. Any hints? My understanding of the whole S4 system was that validity checks are made

GlobalsAA from GVN
>You could, in the LTO pipeline, reinsert GlobalsAA after the SLPVectorizer (not saying you should). I didn't realise that adding GlobalsAA* after* SLPVectorizer could help. Thanks for this tip. >There is something fishy. Do you have a test case that reproduce with llvm-lto? I'm currently looking at a proprietary benchmark. I'll try to extract out a simple test case and send it.

Invoking virsh console from Java
Hello, I have a Java application from which I am invoking the "virsh console" command to access the console of a VM. I invoke the virsh command using ProcessBuilder.start(). However, I am unable to communicate with the stdin of the VMs console through the OutputStream of the Process object. When I invoke "virsh console" from within Java, I see the following messages on

is putting zone paths on zfs supported in Solaris 10 u5/u6 ?? Documentation on that? - 66124245
ZFS experts! cu is looking for _documentation_ about putting zone paths on zfs. cu is running 5.10 KP 137111-06. he needs to make sure u5 kp is ok with zone roots. Also has FSs mounted via legacy. So...anybody have documentation on which u5 or u6 of Solaris (NOT OpenSolaris) supports zfs, if any update, for zone paths? -Brian -------- Original Message -------- Subject: RE: Sun#

GlobalsAA from GVN
Hi James, Thanks for the help. From the log, I could infer that SLP vectorizer is not preserving alias analysis, preventing GVN from getting the info. Although the first function to get compiled has GlobalsAA available during GVN, rest of them do not as SLP vectorizer run on that function invalidates GlobalsAA which is a module pass. Is there a way to force re-computation of a particular

GlobalsAA from GVN
Hi Mehdi, Thank you for the response. I'm actually on an LTO setup and was referring to PassManagerBuilder::addLTOOptimizationPasses. Here, GlobalsAA is scheduled to run well ahead of SLPVectorizer. However since GlobalsAA is a module pass, it runs once and a bunch of passes, including SLPVectorizer is run for each function. When one of them invalidates the analysis, rest of the functions do
