This is not going well... but better than before!
Ok...
This is begining to go a bit better.... I have compiled 4 lib's and placed
them in my lib path.
ogg.lib
vorbis.lib
vorbisenc.lib
vorbisfile.lib
When I try and compile oggenc.c I still have link errors..

Ogg Player Code
Hello,
In one of my recent assignments, I was asked to develop a ogg player.
I am not able to find the right repository of the source code. There are few repositories on vorbis but I am not clear which one is the right one for Windows environment.
If somebody has successfully compiled any ogg player ever, his ideas will be helpful to me.
In one of the code set, I was able to compile the

[PATCH] Fix for YUV4MPEG support in encoder_example
As was briefly discussed on IRC, ffmpeg and mplayer currently output
two somewhat incompatible YUV4MPEG streams. This meant that
encoder_example could take input from mplayer, but not ffmpeg or
movtoy4m (a QuickTime->Y4M tool).
This is a patch that fixes this issue and should allow encoder_example to
take input from either format:

encoder_example input formats
Hi all
I have the raw out put of a video camera in following
format: mjpegb, yuvj422p, 1920x1080, 24.00 fps(r).
I cannot directly convert this raw footage to Theora
due to the YUV4MPEG2 only restriction of the
encoder_example.
Isn't it better to support other raw formats in
encoder_example, such as what I have, mjpegb,
yuvj422p?
I presume even if I convert the mjpegb, yuvj422p to

can not encode a raw video file with "encoder_example"
hi all,
i tried to encode a .yuv file with the encoder_example.c
but it give an error message as follows
./encoder_example -v 1 file_1.yuv > file_1.ogg
Input file file_1.yuv is neither a WAV nor YUV4MPEG2 file.
so the error message is understandable for anyone.
when this file is play with mplayer it shows as follow

error in "encoder_example.c"
Hi,
Why do I get an error message when i'm running the
"encoder_example.c" which is included in the SDK?
The error occurs then the 44 bits are read and the
vorbis_info struct is initiated (i.e. when the
vorbis_encode_init(&vi,2,44100, -1, 128000, -1) -
funcion is called. I also tried to read the data from
a 16 bits 44,1 KHz stereo PCM - wave file but recived
the same error.

CVS Broken Again?
Hi All,
Is the CVS source broken again?
My attempts to compile indicate a missing file in vorbis/lib, bitbuffer.c
(and its h file). Copying in an old downloaded copy produces the following
from MSCV 7 (attempting to build OggEnc, having built SDK/all - apparently
not without error :-)..

Compiling CVS in VC++ 6.0
Hello,
Apologies if this has been done before. I just joined the list as
this has bugged me for a while.
I can compile FLAC 1.1.2 using Visual C++ 6.0 with no problems.
However, when I try to compile the CVS source I get:

grabbag_static.lib(stream_decoder.obj) : error LNK2001: unresolved

Problem building libFLAC on Windows x64
Hello everyone.
Due to problems with libsndfile's handling of FLAC files, Mixxx is
going to use libFLAC directly in v1.9.0. I'm the Windows packager and
am trying to build libFLAC on Windows x64 using MSVC 2008 and the
following steps that I've put together:

The problems I have are the following:

Looking for protect()
Hello:
This is a simple, I hope, question about the first example in section 3.6.4
of the manual, "Writing R extensions."
I'm using R 1.1.0, and below I list some easy code that I got from section
3.6.4. When I try to compile the file out.c under NT 4, using VC++ 6.0, I
get the following error messages:

Hi guys,
I discovered xapian today and I'm trying it because it looks promising
compared to other FTS engines.
However I'm in a windows environment so it's a bit painful to set up as
there is no official binaries.
I've heard about http://www.flax.co.uk/xapian_binaries
And I'm trying to build their latest release (1.2.8).
After a few tries I manage to compile everything with

encoder_example.c Questions
I've been trying to piece my way through the encoder_example.c program
to better understand how to encode files as ogg/vorbis. I'm stuck on
two sections of the code.
This is the first

for(i=0;i<bytes/4;i++){
buffer[0][i]=((readbuffer[i*4+1]<<8)|
(0x00ff&(int)readbuffer[i*4]))/32768.f;

building a Win32 DLL with R objects?
I've been attemping to create a test dll that contains R objects (actually I
simply copied the code from the "Writing R extensions") and got it to build
the dll using rcmd shlib main.c (okay, it's simple, but effective). Here's
the info so far:
this is the contents of the main.c file (not there's no WinMain()). Do we
put it in or does the script do it when we compile?
