Question on sNAT for multiple external subnets
I''m wondering if the following is possible under recent versions of
shorewall:
1. We have several class-C networks from both UUNet and Internap, both of
which are actually routed over a single inbound ethernet line from UUNet
at our colocation facility: 204.176.148.0/23 and 216.52.83.0/24. This
gives us a total of 3 class-C subnets. All packets for these three subnets
would land on

Which versions of CUPS and Samba are you using?
And are you *really* still using the "cupsomatic"-PPD
from Linuxprinting.org for that *PostScript*-printer??

Problems with gnugk, asterisk, and ooh323
Greetings to All,
I hope someone has already gotten this working. I spent all day today trying
to get ooh323 and gnugk to run on the same box. After a lot of tweaking to
get everything compiled, I got both up and running.
I can make calls IAX to H323, but cannot make calls in the reverse
direction. I have tried many different configs on the GK, but always come up
with the same error. It appears

bug in codetools/R CMD check?
Hi Mr Tierney,
I have noticed an error message from R 1.12.x's CMD check for a while (apparently prof Ripley completely rewrote CMD check in R 1.12+)

Asterisk + GnuGK :::: Unreachable Destination.
Hello again.
I'm stll struggling trying to terminate calls from SIP through Asterisk
and throught my H323 gateways...
Basically the call is accepted by GnuGK but then dropped with
*reason = unreachableDestination <<null>>*
I did a *debug trc 10* on GnuGK and looked at the sessions... one from
X-Lite through Asterisk... and one from OpenPhone... The one from
OpenPhone works

Flac HiRes decoding problems
Hi folks.
My first post over here.
While working on a music server optimzation (which ususally goes hand in
hand with running pretty low buffers on realtime
streams)
I figured that certain HiRez flacs were causing XRUNS/hickups on my Linux
server platform.
The interesting thing is to run into XRUNS even though the stream gets
send to a Squeezebox Touch which got
a 20s buffer on its receiving

Encoding wavs to ogg
Hello.
I think I've heard before that it is possible to add vorbis comments to .wav files when ripping so that when you encode the .wav's later, the comments are preserved. Is this true or am I thinking about FLAC? What tools would you recommend (for a windows environment)?

Crash when writing 32bit flac files, am I doing something wrong ?
Hello,
I manage to successfully write 8, 16 and 24 bit, all stereo, FLAC files.
But when I try to write 32 bit FLACs my program crashes.
*FLAC__stream_encoder_set_bits_per_sample *is called to match the desired
bit depth (8, 16, 24, 32)
It's the same code for all bit depths, i provide a fixed-size signed int
buffer to the lib (size=16384), with values with appropriate ranges for
each bit

rsync to my external eSATA HD is crashing/freezing my system...
Hello list
I've been running the following command, first in fc20 and then now
(since the beginning of March) in fc26:
now=$(date +"%Y%m%d-%H%M"); sudo rsync -ahuAESX -vi /home/
/run/media/readlegal/Backup/home >
/run/media/readlegal/Backup/rsync-changes_$now
Since the move to fc26, this command has caused the complete
freeze/crash of the system. I tried it under multi-user

CDex and Flac
I am using CDex to encode my music into Flac. I am using the latest
version of Flac (with the frontend etc.) and sending the rips to it as
an 'external encoder' with the string:
-8 -o %2 -T "artist=%a" -T "title=%t" -T "album=%b" -T "date=%y" -T
"tracknumber=%tn" -T "genre=%g" -
However, I am getting the below output/error with

Problems with gain
Hello.
I have a problem here with replay gain. I use it to be able to hear all
my music without any difference in volume. But it seems that all players
I use ignore the gain value stored in my flac files. All flacs are
louder than the gained mp3s I have.
$ metaflac --show-tag=REPLAYGAIN_ALBUM_GAIN <some>.flac
REPLAYGAIN_ALBUM_GAIN=-9.96 dB
$ metaflac --show-tag=REPLAYGAIN_TRACK_GAIN

Upon yet further investigation, compiled FLAC CVS on amd64, the 18GB
raw file flacs just fine. I then sent the flac to the x86 machine and
it decodes fine. So this seems to be a 32bit x86 encoding problem,
only.

Batch, recursive Flac to Ogg converter for Windows
For those of you who, like me, want to keep a Flac-based archive of their CD
collection, but maintain an Ogg-encoded version of that library for use on
portable players, here is something you might be interested in:
I've put together a Cygwin/perl-based solution that works under Windows XP
that can take an entire tree of Flac-encoded files:

24-bit support in winamp2 plugin
OK, I finally fixed the linear dithering code in the Winamp 2
plugin. I have not figured out all the whiz-bang GUI-based
configuration stuff yet so as it stands the plugin will play
back 24-bit FLAC files and dither them down to 16-bit. I
don't know how to check if the output module supports 24-bit
either, but you can recompile the plugin without the
#define FLAC__DO_DITHER to force it to do
