OGGDS\OggSDK missing from svn
Hello, I am trying to get hold of the sources for the ogg vorbis DirectShow filter. I have checked out trunk\oggds, but the solution refers to projects under OggSDK, viz: "OggSDK\ogg\win32\ogg_dynamic.vcproj" "OggSDK\vorbis\win32\vorbis_dynamic.vcproj" "OggSDK\vorbis\win32\vorbisenc_dynamic.vcproj" ....which do not appear to be in subversion. Binaries for Visual Studio.NET?
I apologize for what's surely a common question, but the Xiph archive-searcher seems broken, and all my other searches have come up dry. Anyway, my question is: Are there any Theora binaries available for Visual Studio.NET? Alternatively, how do I build Theora using Visual Studio.NET? I tried using "\win32\theora_static.dsp", but VS.NET claimed it was corrupt and couldn't

getting started
I am giving serious consideration to abandoning waveOut multimedia and the wav format, for most of the audio in my C++/MFC project. However, I've never done any programming with a codec, and I still can't see how to step into Ogg Vorbis. If I convert all my wav files to ogg, there seem to be two major issues I'm facing: 1) What exactly will I replace my waveOut functions with? 2)

Status of Windows builds for libvorbis/libogg
Hi all, I've just done a quick check of the libvorbis Visual C++ 6.0 project on Windows, and am happy to say that both libvorbis and libogg build fine. (Theora isn't quite so lucky -- see the theora-dev mailing list for details on that.) There are two suggestions I can make, though: 1. To build properly, the directories must be checked out with certain names, and in paths

Theora dll in debug mode
Hi everybody. I have a problem using Theora in a specific way. I am going to explain that. I have downloaded ogg codecs for Windows on the Theora website. More precisely there are DirectShow Filters. I try to use Theora codec in a commercial application and the application crash. It doesn't with another codec like XviD, so the problem may be Theora codec. Note that I can use Theora outwards

Quicktime + FLAC?
If i could find some good documentation on quicktime, i'd probably give it a shot... since i already have most of the infrastructure already for directshow. I had a look a few times for detailed info on quicktime, and it all looked pretty painful. Not to mention all the base media handler code provided for the sdk, says not suitable for bitrates greater than like 32kpbs which is useless

New Directshow filters preview...
I have been developing some directshow filters for ogg, and vorbis and speex... currently i have an ogg demux filter and a speex/vorbis decoding filter. In this pre-release only vorbis is operational... but the speex decoder is pretty much done... i jsut need to tweak the demux filter so that it can negotiate a speex connection with the other filter. Just though some people might find them useful

Directshow filters update - 0.66.8063
Another update to these filters... www.illiminable.com/ogg/ Here's the chagnes... * FLAC can now be muxed into a multi-stream file. * Now supports both the new Ogg FLAC (1.1.1) and the old Ogg FLAC (still not native FLAC) * Fixed the explorer problem by removing the offending registry key at installation * Removed a heap of memory leaks, WMP should run a fair bit leaner now * Some internal

Directshow filters 0.64.7878
Updated again... theora works and seeks properly (not to keyframe) in WMP 9 and 10. You can encode from a bunch of onew input types like RGB32, RGB24, IYUV etc. And fixed a bug that was stopping the filters being used in a activeX control in an IE browser. www.illiminable.com/ogg/ Enjoy, Zen.

Encoding paramaters...
I've got my encoder working now... and i put a proeprty page interface to allow the user to set a few encoding paramters to start off with... but changing the paramters doesn't seem to make barely any difference... These are the defaults i'm using... mTheoraInfo.target_bitrate=400000; mTheoraInfo.quality=30; mTheoraInfo.dropframes_p=0; mTheoraInfo.quick_p=1;
