[LLVMdev] Need the X86 Application Binary Interface(ABI) Documentation
Hi All, I am looking for a ABI Documentation of the X86 architecture to understand how LLVM converts its IR to X86 target instructions. Please guide me from where i can get the resources. Thanks, Shashidhar -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: <http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/attachments/20130226/05855007/attachment.html>

2.4.13 kernel on Redhat 7.2
I have tried everything to compile a new kernel on my 7.2 base system. I have used 2.4.13-ac6 and 2.4.13 w/ ext3 patch. I have compiled with ext3 built-in and with ext3 as module (with the initrd). I have a SCSI system so I have done the previous variations with both SCSI support built-in and modular (with the initrd). The error I get is: Remounting root filesystem in read-write mode: mount: no

[LLVMdev] STM8 backend for Clang
Hi there, Inspired by the recent FOSDEM keynote, I've tried to write an LLVM backend for the STM8 microcontroller platform. The STM8S-Discovery evaluation board [1] has been handed out for free or is sold dirt- cheap, but there is no Open Source cross-compiler for it. The available ST assembler, linker and USB flash programmer are closed- source Windows binaries. And the compiler

[PATCH] add linux' arch/$ARCH/include to search path From: Marc Kleine-Budde <mkl@pengutronix.de> Date: Mon, 5 Jan 2009 17:46:47 +0100
with the recent move of the includes from linux' include/asm-$ARCH to arch/$ARCH/asm, klibc fails to compile, because the in-linux-header files include from asm/, but this is not in the header search path. e.g. against linux-2.6.27 arm: arm-iwmmx-linux-gnueabi-gcc -Wp,-MD,usr/klibc/.vsnprintf.o.d -nostdinc -iwithprefix include -Iusr/include/arch/arm -Iusr/include/bits32

Motherboards
Does anyone have any experience with Super-Micro brand motherboards // dual Xeon cpu's? Had to swap out my Tyan piece of junk and going back with the S-M board. I believe it has similar north/southbridge chips on it -- at least they are the intel MCH ICH5R and PXH plus the 82546GB. One area that the Tyan board was seriously lacking in was in the hardware monitoring department. The S-M

Samba on Two networks
I'm trying to set up a 100Base-T network on top of my exisiting 10Base-T network. The 100Base-T network is between a few hosts, but those hosts are also on the 10Base-T network. Here's a little diagram: 10Base-T 100Base-T ------------------------------------------------------- 128.173.1.1 DCSERVER | (NT PDC+WINS Server) |

Changes to HOWTO and maybe Samba Guide for Solaris patches
Sun has changed the organization of their web site a lot over the years, and I just noticed that a URL included in the HOWTO is broken now. Perhaps there are others as well. In section 39.6.2 "Winbind on Solaris 9" (p. 503), Solaris 9 users are directed to download a patch from the following URL: http://sunsolve.sun.com/pub-cgi/findPatch.pl?patchId=112960;rev=14 But the Sun

Optimizing POP3 performance?
Hello, I recently migrated to Dovecot from Courier-IMAP and i'm very happy with the IMAP Performance and Dovecot in general. The server is running qmail-ldap and i'm still using the qmail pop3 daemon for the POP3 users. Because i want to get rid of qmail completely (switching to exim) i just tried to replace the qmail pop3 daemon with dovecot too. Immediately after the migration the

loading/starting memtest with pxelinux-2.06 fails
Hi! I try to start memtest86 with pxelinux. I used to do this with pxelinux 1.66 for some time and it worked very well with just -------- SNIP -------------- label something kernel memtest86.bin -------- SNAP -------------- Now I upgraded to pxelinux 2.06 and there, it fails. I can choose the entry, then the file is downloaded (at least one "." shows up) and started but does

tftp-hpa: getopt problems
Hi! I hope this is the right list for sending tftpd-patches - if not, please point me in the right direction... I experienced quite strange problems when trying to use tftp-hpa in newer Cygwin versions. It simply isn't able to parse its command line correctly because it seems to use another optind variable than getopt(). When you try to start it with something like tftpd.exe -s /mypath

Some files always copied to W2K system
I am copying from a rsync --daemon (have tried from both W2K/cygwin & Linux daemons) to a W2K machine. Some files get copied every time even though they haven't been touched since the last copy. I have experimented and deturmined that the file size seems to be important. If the file is between 926 & 933 bytes long it will always be copied!! Other sizes and possibly other aspects of

TigerJet 320G Chip / TDM400 Chipset / DAHDI Support
Hi, I'm curious what chip Digium is using in the latest TDM400 cards. Specifically, to my recollection, they used to use the TigerJet 320G, however somewhat recently, Tigerjet was bought out, and now the 320G is no longer produced. Maybe a better question is: is there a way I can take the latest DAHDI source and get a list of supported chipsets from it? Thanks. MCH -------------- next part

[OT] Memory Models and Multi/Virtual-Cores -- WAS: 4.0 -> 4.1 update failing
From: Maciej ?enczykowski <maze at cela.pl> > That's a good point - does anyone know what the new Intel > Virtualization thingamajig in the new dual core pentium D's is about? It's all speculation at this point. But there are _several_ factors. But I'm sure the first time Intel saw AMD's x86-64/PAE52 presentation, the same thing popped into my mind that popped
