Rio Karma mini review
Hello everyone, Stopped by Best Buy last night and picked up a Rio Karma. Since from-the-trenches reviews seem scarce, I thought I might post some thoughts. The short story: I'm probably returning it, will be buying a different portable player. The software doesn't work, and I don't think I wanna screw with it. The long story: It looks cool, is tiny,

Can anyone fix this?
Hi, I appologise for the bad ettiquite of this, but I have tried looking for some HTB examples that would help me, and am having trouble understanding how the tc filters should work, but I can''t figure out why this isn''t working. I''ve written this script, based upon the ultimate traffic shaper at LARTC, to try and shape for me and my 3 housemates. The idea being to

rio instabilities
I''m having some serious problems with rio (rio.rubyforge.org) within my Rails app and I was wondering if you lot could offer any advice. So: I''m writing an app that generates folders full of content. The rough process of what happens when you run the "Generate" method on a "Site" object is: it copies a template directory to a directory named (site.directory)

Some questions about a potential usage scena rio for asterisk
Dave: Of course I know nothing about your project so you can politely ignore this message if it does not apply. However having worked in call centers all my life and used CTI extensively for "screen pop", "data pass", what ever you call it, I want to give you a quick heads up about using CID to identify callers. If you are in a line of business where callers will be calling

Anyone use a Rio Cali Sport with CentOS 4.2?
My wife does and here's the problem. It automatically mounts the flash memory of the player. But it doesn't mount the SD card slot. I used Ubuntu 5.10 recently and it mounted both of them. Both as separate USB sticks. How do I get CentOS to do the same thing? Or can it not discern that two USB flash devices are plugged in? Preston

Music/Busy Signal Not Heard
Hi, I compiled * and chan_alsa.so is loaded. But I can't hear any busy signal messages when calls cannot connect. Do I need to record my own message, or does * use some default ones? May I ask where can I find them? Regards, Norman Zhang

DTMF heard at end of AGI Record File
When I use AGI's Record File with DTMF termination, you can hear a snippet of DTMF at the end of the message. Actually, you hear DTMF at the beginning too, but I work around that by streaming from a few hundred milliseconds into the file. However, I haven't been able to come up with a way around hearing it at the end, and the customer is complaining. If there's no workaround,

30 sec delay before voice is heard
we are experiencing 30 second delay before voice is heard after answer when we ran wireshark it showed the problem between frames 634 (where the softphone answers) and 1366. Between those frames, asterisk receives RTP packets from both the softphone and the sip carrier, but doesn't forward them to each other.... Then we see a bunch of packets sent at once from the asterisk server, until

Random DTMF Tones Only on heard on ATA
I have a couple of Linksys PAP2T-NA & Grandstream HT-502 extensions that are receiving random DTMF tones on their side, but that are not heard by the outside party. I have been using Asterisk 1.6.6 through 1.6.10 and have always had this issue. I am only using SIP on the Asterisk server and all extensions and trunks are set to rfc2833; outside of this issue DTMF operation works fine.
