Change in treatment of qcow2 with chained backing files in v5.10.0?
Hello list,
upon upgrading from libvirt v5.9.0 -> v5.10.0, libvirt started calling
qemu differently causing the VM operating system to not be found. I'm
wondering whether I'm chasing a bug, or have to otherwise fix my domain
config (created by virt-manager).
To start with, I have a Windows 7 domain based on the following images:
windows7-base.qcow2: QEMU QCOW2 Image (v3),

Today our server had seriuos problems, we had to reinitiate it and run fsck
manually.
Dou you think it's an ext3, kernel (vanilla 2.4.19) or hardware bug?
The errors were (from syslog):

Asterisk server suddenly fronzen after many zapter errors
Hello all
We are running an Asterisk server using 24 extensions with an AB1
channel bank and a T1 digium card, plus a TDM400 with 4 fxo modules
(using only modules 2,3,4).
We have been using the pbx with this configuration for some time
(asterisk 1.0rc1,1.0rc2).
A few weeks ago we have installed a mirrored disk (raid 1) in this
server and we have been having some problems with sporadic

3.0.0->3.0.1 = 2 problems - outlook & browsing fails
Hi,
I upgraded my 3.0.0 setup to 3.0.1. Basic functions worked well: logging to
domain, login script executes, home drive gets connected, PDC is browseable,
shares accessible. Network WINS server is a Win 2000 server, not samba PDC.
First problem appeared, when users tried to open their Outlook mailbox'es to
exchange 5.5 (on win 2000 server). Some users got into their mailbox, others

[LLVMdev] Using LLVM as a crosscompiler
Hello, Koen.

Well, just supply appropriate --host/--target options to configure.
I haven't tried ARM, but this definitely works for crosscompiling from
linux to mingw32. Please also note, that you'll need native (=arm) tools
(binutils, libcheaders, etc) during gcc build

building a libR.a for BlueGene/L
We would like to compile a minimal R library that could be linked
into an application that will be run on a BlueGene/L system with
8,192 processors. This is a system that requires no shared libraries,
no graphical interface, must be single threaded, and will be cross-
compiled. I would statically link the code for the packages we require.
From looking through the code, it seems like it

cross compiling dovecot
I have the problem that configure can't run the binaries, due to
crosscompiling. How can you solve these issues with ./configure?
checking whether size_t is signed... configure: error: cannot run test program
while cross compiling
See `config.log' for more details.
I configure with a mipsel cross compiler.

[LLVMdev] Byte code portability (was Re: libstdc++ as bytecode, and compiling C++ to C)
Hello Philipp,

Not llvm, but llvm-gcc only. I've successfully used llvm-gcc for
crosscompiling with host=linux and target=mingw32 platform.
So, you have just to supply host, build and target triples to llvm-gcc
configure and be also sure, that configure will find target headers,

Desperate -- I'll even pay -- winbind/samba -- challenge/response password authentication failed
No kidding folks, I need to get this working and am willing to pay money
for useful help!
I'm having problems getting "challenge/response password authentication
failed" with the command "wbinfo -a DOM+W2kusername%password". I
presume this will prevent me from using my Windows usernames and
passwords to log into my Linux box.
My environment is a newly configured Redhat

hetlp_type text doen't work on Ubuntu
Hi,
I' using Ubuntu 10.10/11.04 and on both of the systems help doesn't
work unless I set options(help_type="html"). I hate to change context
and help_type='html' distracts me. I want text based help inside
console. Where should I look to fix this problem?
