Anybody get ".wsf" WSH scripts to run?
I am a pretty new Wine user. I am hoping to be able to run some pretty large VBScript applications on it, to avoid porting them to Perl when we retire a Windows machine. All of our VBScript runs as children of a WSH ".wsf" file, for example as follows. I can get a simple ".vbs" file to run fine, but when I try to run the same file inside of a simple ".wsf" wrapper,

Icecast admin interface
I have a problem with Icecast web admin interface. My icecast.conf file contains : acl_policy 1 deny all * allow all *.via.ecp.fr When connecting to my admin interface, I get a 403 error message ( You don't have access to this entity (stream or file).), and icecast says "Kicking unknown 48 [mallet.via.ecp.fr] [No mountfile found], connected for 0 seconds". LiveIce and Zope
I have a very weird problem between Liveice and Zope. I start LiveIce with a script shell that works well. Since I want to run it under a Zope page I made a Zope "external method" to run the script through a Python module. When I call the method, the script is called by a function in the python module, and runs, but LiveIce does not work (seems like it does not even start). The weird

Darkice CVS
Akos, have tried to use the CVS for the last few days (following instructions on sourceforge) but it keeps timing out. Anything going on with the CVS Server? Bandwidth
Just a little question about icecast. I guess the streaming technique used is unicast. In that case, how is it that the bandwith used does not grow up as several listeners connect ? Or is the bandwith written in the icecast interface the bandwith used per listener ? Thank you for your answers. -- Ced <p><p>--- >8 ---- List archives:

poor quality mp3
I noticed a strange bug with poor quality mp3 (< 64 kbps). When a good mp3 ( > 128) is streamed after a poor one, the client is disconnected from the channel at the end of the poor one. It seems to happen with any client. Is it normal ? -- Ced <p><p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage:

Metadata once more...with Ices
I use Ices with the perl module. I would like to know how to use the function supposed to return metadata, for example to read Id Tag. I didn't find anything in the documentation. Are there commands to get all the fields provided by the IdTag ? I also had strange results when commenting this function (in that case it is supposed to stream the name of the song, by reading the IdTag). With

Stream read too fast / too slow
I know this is a recurrent question but I did not find anything to answer it in the archive... Here is my problem : after a file has been sent and read normally, sometimes the next one is read twice as slow or twice as fast as it should be. This is fixed by stopping the client and starting it again : this means that the problem does not really comes from the stream, which seams somehow to be

How to modify dots and dispatch NextMethod
Hi all, Not sure if this belongs to R-devel or R-package-devel. Anyways... Suppose we have objects of class c("foo", "bar"), and there are two S3 methods c.foo, c.bar. In c.foo, I'm trying to modify the dots and forward the dispatch using NextMethod without any success. This is what I've tried so far: c.foo <- function(..., recursive=FALSE) { dots <-

IceS compiling problems
I have serious problems to compile IceS on a debian (woody), kernel 2.4.18. I have to say the configure script does not find anything... - I installed libshout and libshout-dev downloaded drom the icecast site. I have shout.h : 0:33 root@radiopi2 /usr/include/shout# ls shout.h Yet configure gives me this : ~/sources/ices-0.2.2% ./configure --with-libshout=/usr/include checking for

stream sounds like poo for no apparent reason
here at wkdu.org our minds are blown trying to figure out what our problem is, we are using a dell optiplex gx1 with a soundblaster live card. we are getting a nasty hum on the line in. the thing is we plug a cd player directly into the soundcard the hum goes away and when we plug the line in into anything else there is no hum, so the question i ask where is the hum coming from? we are
