Centos merchandise
Hi all, Do you know where I can buy Centos merchandise such as posters, tshirt, mug, etc? Especially, posters. I'd like to put some on my office to put some pressures on my windows-minded colleaques. Observations about the floating point data in vorbisfile
Hello. I noticed that when reading data with ov_read_float(), you can get values outside [-1..1] when the stream is encoded at lower quality, but with higher quality, the values trim down to inside [-1..1]. Looking at the plot from -q10, the data from ov_read_float seems clipped. I've made some plots of encoding the start of Rammsteins Feuer from the xXx soundtrack (it's a pretty loud

Oggenc producing a different file every time
We are using the Ogg file format in our game Awesomenauts. Now whenever I rebuild our compressed music files from our uncompressed sources (WAV to OGG), oggenc.exe produces different files. They sound the same, but there are differences in the file. I did a checksum on the hex, and it turns out there are small pieces of similar differences throughout the file. This is a serious problem for us:

vorbis tag for general music type?
Hi, I am wondering if vorbis has a standard tag for general music type. I don't mean pop, jazz, etc., but something more in line with describing the mood of the mucic. I am thinking of games which have a soundtrack in vorbis format which could use the user's own repository of .ogg files during gameplay, and use the tag to choose appropriate music for that part of the game. hi list, environment: Windows 2008 Domain Centos 7 server running samba 4.4.4 Problem: I am creating a number of samba shares on the Centos server to be used on the Domain. Right now I have two major directories setup as shares with minor directories being created. How do I specify read/write permissions on the minor directories without having to create a share for each directory?  When I

Significance of the difference between two correlation coefficients
Hi, based on the sample size I want to calculate whether to correlation coefficients are significantly different or not. I know that as a first step both coefficients have to be converted to z values using fisher's z transformation. I have done this already but I dont know how to further proceed from there. unlike for correlation coefficients I know that the difference for z values is

Question about aov
Hello R gurus, I am a beginner with R. I am doing an ANCOVA analysis using 'aov,' and need some help understanding how 'aov' works. I have a dataset (taken from http://faculty.vassar.edu/lowry/ch17pt2.html) looking at hypnotic induction. The variable 'X' is a measure of how susceptible the subject is to being hypnotized, the variable 'Y' is how well the

problems with share permissions
Hi I had a few test shares  created and they were working fine. Users could read or write depending on the windows group that was defined on the share. I have since removed the test shares and created the file structure needed and setup the smb.conf file with the share names.  I have also setup the groups and assigned them to the respective directories.  Problem is the users can connect to

oggenc crashes on WAV input (with q > 4.99)
Hi all, I've got a strange problem. I was just encoding a new CD I bought a couple of days ago (Muse - Hullabaloo Soundtrack) when I ran into a strange bug. After ripping track 8, CD 1 with cdparanoia under OpenBSD/alpha, I wanted to encode it with oggenc (latest version from the OpenBSD-current ports tree, (`oggenc -v` says 'OggEnc v1.0 (libvorbis 1.0)')). Here's the output :

Whether need to run CentOS Certification test suite to get the CentOS logo
Howdy, I have searched related information on the CentOS website, and only get the answer "Except for CentOS CD/DVD ISOs, you may not use CentOS logos on merchandise without an individual agreement with the CentOS Project. We need to approve the use of the logos and will require that you donate a percentage of your total sales on items using the CentOS logos in this manner". But I'm

Wilcox.test U values
I have been examining the Mann-Whitney test closely. And there are two features of the R implementation that puzzles me. The test statistic is reported as "W" and depends on the order of the arguments to the function. > x <- c(1,3,5,7,9) > y <- x-1 > x [1] 1 3 5 7 9 > y [1] 0 2 4 6 8 > wilcox.test(x, y)$statistic W 15 > wilcox.test(y,x)$statistic W 10
