cvs trunk vorbis/ compile patches
ltconfig placeholder shoud be removed. Makefile.am : some stuff copied from branch_beta3 ogg lib must be added only where necesary. vq subdir Makefile.am'ized, (but installs nothing) made distclean target slightly more clean -- check it by hand first, please --- also you'll want to remove vq/Makefile if the ...am passes inspection ------------------------------------------------- diff

vorbis-tools configure
Hi guys, I'm trying to compile vorbis-tools with libvorbis-aotuvb5. The problem is that installed libvorbis conflicts with myself-compiled libvorbis-aotuvb5, though I specified --with-vorbis-libraries and --with-vorbis-includes to the vorbis-tools configure: vorbis-tools-1.1.1# CFLAGS="-static" ./configure

Trouble building libvorbis-1.0rc3
Hi all, I was just trying to build myself a RC3 set of Ogg/Vorbis libs and tools, but the build of libvorbis bombs out on me while making all in examples. I've ./configure'd with no options, which gave no warnings or errors. After that a normal make gives the below attached output. Can anyone tell me what I've done wrong ? I've also tried removing the examples/ directory. After

Docs Missing
Hi All, The "libvorbisenc api reference" (http://www.xiph.org/ogg/vorbis/doc/vorbisenc/reference.html) exists, but appears to be the libvorbisfile api reference. Is there anywhere where I can find the "libvorbisenc api reference"? vorbisenc creates silent ogg files on ARM EABI
Hi Sorry, the reason I joined the list is for help finding a bug that occurs when libvorbisenc is compiled and run on ARM EABI systems (current Debian, Gentoo, OpenEmbedded etc). The symptom is that oggenc produces shorter ogg files than it should (about 1/2 size) that decode to the correct duration but of total silence. libvorbis/examples/encoder_example does the same on these systems, but

Emscripten is an LLVM-to-JavaScript compiler. It takes LLVM bitcode - which can be generated from C/C++, using llvm-gcc or clang, or any other language that can be converted into LLVM - and compiles that into JavaScript, which can be run on the web (or anywhere else JavaScript can run). I was able to successfully build libogg, libvorbis and libvorbis examples using this tool and generate valid

Attn: darkeye@tyrell.hu RE: Darkice
You helped me a few weeks ago setup DarkIce. Well I had nothing but problems doing it on RH62 so... here I am again but this time armed with RH71. I followed your instructions for installing lame and ogg vorbis and it's all fine. When I tr to install DarkIce though I get the following error. # make make all-recursive make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/download/darkice-0.6' Making

win32: Encoder using vorbisenc.dll - AV?
Hello, When I compile either oggenc or encoder_example with static libraries, they work fine, but when I try them with the dynamic libraries, I get an access violation in vorbisenc.dll with both oggenc and encoder_example. Can anyone on win32 confirm this? It's strange because vorbisfile.dll *does* work with vorbisfile_example, and the configuration for vorbisfile.dll is exactly the same

Building theora
Hello, I'm trying to get theora built. However there is not a page listing what depdencies there are. Would it be possible to have a developers page with the point release tarballs etc? (There is subversion access, but I do not have subversion for my OS). I could not find libtheora release, only an alpha, this wasn't very clear, it has been released now I think. The libogg and

SIGTRAP in Xcode
I downloaded and built the Ogg and Vorbis projects and added the frameworks to my project. It just SIGTRAPs before reaching main, in dylib loading code. I then built libvorbis.a, libvorbisenc.a, libvorbisfile.a and added them to my project. Still SIGTRAPs. I built a libogg.a target from scratch in the Ogg project, and added libogg.a, still SIGTRAPs. So I have tried everything I know

Problems with ogg/vorbis python bindings.
I compiled and installed pyogg followed by pyvorbis, running: $ ./config_unix.py $ python setup.py build and as root: # python setup.py install for pyogg and pyvorbis in turn. This completed without error, however upon trying to import ogg.vorbis in IDLE I get an import error: ImportError: libvorbisfile.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I was told this may have

Dear Developers. As a tester for gnome-2.7 I'm using the garnome build system to build gnome-2.7. A new part to this set of gnome related programs I neede libtheora. Unfortunatly did I run into compile problems when running the compile of libtheora-1.0alpha3. I'm uisng GCC-3.4.0,glibc-2.3.2. The problems are shown in the log below. RC3 Changes needed for MacOS
It looks like the Mac .exp files were not updated for RC3. The following diff corrects that problem. The CodeWarrior project files also have not been updated. They are in 5.3 format which is quite old. Would anybody object if I submitted updates to them in CodeWarrior Pro 6 format? That's the oldest version I have readily available. If someone else has 5.3 and wants to do it, you need to

redhat vorbis install
I hope I'm not being an idiot, but I'm attempting to install vorbis-1.0 RPMs on a few redhat machines and failing horribly. I'm in dependency hell. For starters, libao-0.8.3-1 requires libasound.so.2 (an alsa library?) which does not seem to be available in any recent redhat releases. Then vorbis-tools wants libcurl.so.2, which makes redhat 7.2 machines choke. Worst of all is
