Various Ogg Vorbis largefile notes and/or patches
Greetings one and all; I'm not subscribed to this list so I'm first sending this message to verify that mails from me make it through, and then later I'll send the juicy messages with patches. Also, the address I'm using is IPv6-only and doesn't often work, so drop me from any replies and I'll catch the archives, or drop only the hostname part to get an IPv4 address that

Problems building vorbis tools 1.0.1
hi! I've got some problems compiling/linking the vorbis tools. at first I had the same problem as mentioned here: http://www.xiph.org/archives/vorbis-dev/200201/0005.html (make was looking for libogg.la in the wrong path) but creating a symlink to /usr/local/lib/libogg.la in /usr/lib/ helped. :) having solved this, I get a new error: --- gcc -O20 -ffast-math -fsigned-char -o ogg123

ogg123 remote interface
Hi, I've been working on ogg123 to see if i could add a remote interface compatible with the one in mpg123. This remote interface is used mainly by mp3 players which use mpg123 as their backend. The reason i did this was that i have recently encoded some of my cd's in ogg vorbis format but wanted to keep using my favourite player (playmp3list,

Need help debugging (long)
Thanks! This is in regards to bug 3084, I am trying to find out why samba is crashing. I am using glibc-2.4 with nptl threads. It seems to be a memory or threading issue. Thanks for any help. [PATCH v3 0/5] btrfs-progs: scrub interface
This is the next patch series for scrub userland tools. Change log v1->v2: - commands now reachable as "btrfs scrub ..." instead of "btrfs filesystem scrub ..." - ability to scrub a single device instead of a whole file system - superfluous command line options removed - resume is now a separate command ("scrub resume") instead of "scrub start -r" -

Fink's vorbis-tools patch
Thought this might be useful to at least consider being included in 1.0.1. It adds, among other things (maybe), an endian variant of AIFF-C. automake 1.6 compatability patch
This patch cleans up the vorbis-tools Makefile.am files so they work with both automake 1.4 and 1.6. Some changes to configure.in were also needed in order to get things to work (and to fix some ac 2.50 issues). Please remove config.h from cvs as it is a generated file and empty anyway. automake 1.6 isn't really incompatable with 1.4, it's just more picky about you sticking to the rules:

Vexim with LDA delivery
No support help needed, just a success report having Dovecot integrate with Vexim (exim with web based frontend and sql db): http://silverwraith.com/vexim/ Just wanted to forward some configs to the list if anyone finds them useful. I just switched from vexim's normal "virtual_delivery" to "dovecot_virtual_delivery" so I could use sieve, which works nicely with

[vorbis-tools] Some patches coming from Debian bugs
Hello. Attached are some patches that some Debian users of vorbis-tools have sent to our BTS over the years (numbers refer to Debian bugs). It'd be nice to see them integrated. They apply cleanly to SVN as of today. The largefile_support one is a bit bigger than just the configure.ac since the submitter adviced that config.h got included in all C source files before the standard includes,

ogg123 and Vorbis piped to stdin
Moin, Two questions I have. Actually, the first isn't so much a question. It seems that `ogg123' is not able to play streams from stdin, at least not for me on FreeBSD. It also seems that with the patches way down below, it can play from stdin for me -- I handle stdin like http-transport and return the same values for seeking and the like, to avoid calls that fail, and so it works,

combining pop3 and imap accounts
HI, I have a working exim4 + dovecot system that uses system user folders for the inbox. exim4: domains = dsearch;/etc/exim4/virtual dovecot: mail_location = mbox:~/mail:INBOX=/var/mail/%u - I would like to add additional virtual accounts using the method described in this post: http://www.debian-administration.org/articles/302 exim4: /etc/exim4/conf.d/router/360_exim4-local_vdom_aliases

Suggestion for libvorbisfile: scaling
I've been experimenting with the ideas of Replay Gain[1] and find that ogg123 doesn't have a way of specifying the scaling applied to replayed samples (like -f in mpg123). Looking at libvorbisfile, I see no function exactly matching this possibly desirable behaviour. ov_read() scales by either 128 (byte output) or 32768 (word output), but there's nothing in between. ov_read_float()

Puppet hangs
Hello, we have one puppet server managing approx servers, all FreeBSD. The problem is that the puppet clients all hangs, one by one, eventually. They will run for anything between an hour up to a week. But eventually the all hang. We really like puppet and want to keep using it. But the way it is now is completely unusable. We''ve tried many versions, from 24.x, and now 2.6.1rc1. But

[LLVMdev] small patch for llvm-ld, script improvement
New to llvm and hopefully this will be a welcome small improvement. The shell script wrapper generated by llvm-ld only works when the current working directory is the same as where the script and the bitcode file is. This can be fixed pretty easily by putting `dirname $0`/ in front of the bitcode file name and should work as long as the bitcode and wrapper script live in the same directory.
