A playback of a mono vorbis track on a system using the i810 audio driver via ogg123 results in a double speed playback (chipmunk sound). ogg123 seems to have a issue when streaming for long peroids of time. If I have ogg123 up connected to a streaming server for more than 3.5 hours it begins to stutter or add blocks of static. As of late the xmms plugin has not been working at all, has anyone else noticed this? When I attempt to open a .ogg file the plugin prints "Did not find initial header for bitstream.", and the xmms segfaults. Hi all, I've just set up a test icecast2 server (download and compiled from cvs about an hour ago) - very simple setup, all it does is use ices to stream in an .ogg file that I converted from an mp3, using mpg123 & oggenc. It's a rather annoying problem because when you have a playlist of 100+ files, xmms will at the end eat something like 100M or more.. I have XMMS and XMMS-liveice setup to use ALSA to stream audio to my icecast server using LAME encoding. I start the sound file and i can see XMMS playing away happily, icecast detects the connection and shows the source as being connected, but no bandwisth useage. hi, in an attempt to set up a little stream, i downloaded and installed both icecast2 and liveice-xmms. i can start icecast2, and i can modify the settings to the xmms plugin from within xmms, but i'm at a loss as to how to create a stream, connect it to the server, or then listen to it. i've been looking at the docs on the icecast page[1]. can anyone point me in the right direction?

Anyone else hacked together an xmms plugin for Vorbis? I took my best shot at it based on the source and some of the info I've picked up off this list... I haven't really tested it yet, but I think with a little bit more hacking it might actually work. I can put the source up if anyone wants to dink around with it, but I'd rather just clean it up a little then perhaps ask xmms if
