ov_open/ov_test weirdness
Hi,
I've been playing with a little player, and it seems I can't ov_open a file
twice?
heres a snipit...
<p>#include <stdio.h>
#include <stdlib.h>
#include <errno.h>
#include <vorbis/vorbisfile.h>
OggVorbis_File vf;
FILE *f = NULL;
int main(int argc, char **argv)
{
char *file = NULL;
int err = 0;
if(argc < 2) {

Fw: ov_open failing with all files
Hi,
I'm experiencing (what I think), is an odd problem. Whenever I try to open a
plain ogg file with the code below, it is failing with OV_EBADHEADER.
I am able to open (and play), blowfish encrypted files using the
ov_open_callback (and openssl BIO functions), so I thought maybe I had
struck some silly problem with the default FILE * handlers.
So I whipped up a basic callback handlers for

Problems with vorbisfile and files smaller than CHUNKSIZE
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hi,
I'm writing a simple application to decompress a set of Ogg files to
raw PCM format, using vorbisfile, because that is the simplest way of
doing it. These Ogg files are sounds for a game, and thus sometimes
very short (about .25 s).
However, vorbisfile has severe problems with Ogg files that are
smaller than the CHUNKSIZE which is #defined

vorbisfile for Mac Classic
Hi, this is my first post, I hope it's the right
mailing list (or should it be vorbis@xiph.org?)
I just downloaded "SDK for MacOS9" and tried to
compile the "vorbisfile_example.c" sample with
CodeWarrior for Mac 8 on a Mac OS 9.2 machine. I
included the libOgg and libVorbis libraries in my
project, but the linker cannot file ov_clear(),
ov_read(), ov_pcm_total(),

Problem using 'ov_open()'...
OK, I've been developing a small class that I can use in virtually any
application to load and decode OGG files. Everything works fine until it
reaches the line with the call to ov_open, then the application freezes and
has to be killed. This is a single-threaded Win32 app. Below is both the
structure that gets passed around, and my entire OGG class. Maybe one of
you can figure this out.

--stats and performance issue
Hello,
My question is regarding the interpretation of --stats output and
whether I have a performance issue or not.
Can the client/server architecture (rsync client on one machine, rsync
server on another machine) be far slowlier than a local rsync session ?
This is the ouput of an rsync session:
date
rsync -v --recursive --links --perms --times --group --owner --xattrs
--acls --delete

Am I missing something?
Hey all,
If my understanding is right, there's a serious big in vorbisfile.c, in
the routine _fetch_headers(), which will only show up when comment
packet spans multiple pages. The code to read the first 3 Vorbis
packets ogg_stream_pagein() once, then calls ogg_stream_packetout().
The problem is that ogg_stream_pagein() only adds a single page to the
ogg stream state, whereas

xdr real data read error
Hello all
I have received a message when attempting to load a workspace in R1.3, which
reads: 'an xdr real data read error occured'. Has anyone come across this
error message before?
With thanks

vorbisfile.o givng me problems
I have been having problems compling vorbis on my computer( running redhat
7.1 ), it gives me a bunch of errors about vorbisfile.o( at least that what
the errors are complaining about...I don't know enough to figure out what is
wrong ).
Below is the output I get from compile:

Massive Problems on Windows XP pro with Libvorbis[Vorbisfile]1.0.1
Hey there
I'm using CodeWarrior8 for development on the windows platform and
have been trying for some time now to add .ogg support to my engine
project.
First i had the problem quite a lot had out there with a crashing/freezing
call to ov_open which i solved by recompiling those libs against the
single-threaded variant of the core libs using VC++ 6
But now i have another problem.

Thoughts on vorbisfile
Hi all,
While reading through various bits of libvorbis and vorbisfile, and then
thinking about how to implement other features in the xmms and winamp
plugins, I had some thoughts...
Vorbisfile is very useful, and very easy to use. It is, however, tied to
stdio - which means you can't use it for lots of other stuff where it'd be
useful - like streaming, or (under win32) avoiding stdio

Vorbisfile: non-seekable
Hi,
I use the following code:
if (ov_open(NULL, &vf, const_cast<char*>(reinterpret_cast<const
char*>(get_data())), get_size()) < 0)
error = 0x100;
else
{
vorbis_info* vi = ov_info(&vf, -1);
Cvirtual_file f;
const int cb_samples = ov_pcm_total(&vf, -1);
const bool seekable = ov_seekable(&vf);
So all data is already in memory and passed to

Arc/Info Ungenerate - shp - Maps
Hi list.
I would like to know if someone had already successfully loaded and Arc/Info
Ungenerated (.dat – extracted from
http://rimmer.ngdc.noaa.gov/mgg/coast/getcoast.html) file on R. I’m able to
do so with shape files using maptools functions, but these ungenerated data
are making me crazy.
I don’t have any of ArcGIS tools (one of them probably can do that), and I
can’t find any free tool that

vorbisfile updates, and a couple of questions
The changes to vorbisfile that I suggested earlier have now been committed -
this is mostly a merge of my code with a similar patch from Martin Vogt
(thanks Martin).
The old ov_open() interface remains untouched - and for many people, this is
all you'll need to use, ever. It now calls the new interface with
appropriate arguments.
The new ov_open_callbacks() function adds an extra argument to

Bride of vorbisfile questions
I've been playing around with using ov_test and ov_test_open as an alternative
to ov_open in the xmms plugin's vorbis_check_file function. xmms never
bothers to cache the result of a file check, so it tends to happen rather a
lot. Unfortunately ov_test_open returns OV_EINVAL because ov_test seems to
have left vf->ready_state to OPEN rather than PARTOPEN.
I'm presuming this is

ov_open returning OV_EBADHEADER
Hi there.
I'm having this problem when trying to open the stream to play it. What I'm
doing is the following:
archivo_original = fopen(Archivo.c_str(), "r");
if (archivo_original == NULL) {
if (EventLog)
EventLog->WriteString(Format("No se pudo abrir el archivo %s",
ARRAYOFCONST((Archivo))));
WaveOut->Stop();
return;

Problems using vorbisfile.dll
Hello.
Not certain this post belongs here, got a little confused about
vorbis-dev / vorbis. If it doesn’t, please tell me so :)
Well, on to the problem.
I’m adding ogg support into an audio-player.
For some reason I want it using vorbisfile threw the dll’s.
It works just fine with the debug dll. No problems what so ever.
But with the Retail dlls, when I call ov_open my memory gets messed up.
