Problems with unicode filenames
I have a file server with windows and I am creating a new Fedora Core 3
+ Samba 3.0.10-1.fc3 file server...
But i have many, many files that have chars like ?, ?, ? in their
name... When I move the files to the Samba server, all that unicode
chars are changed to ?
I need a solution for that to move on, because my boss will not like to
stop using that chars...
Thanks for any help

Combining 3D/2D plots
Dear All,
This is my first post to this mailing list (and yes, I did read
http://www.r-project.org/posting-guide.html ) so please forgive any faux
pas.
I'm trying to make a visualization that looks like this
http://www.gradient-da.com/img/temperature%20surface%20plot%20470x406.JPG(found
through google). The idea is to have a 3D surface plot overlapping a
2d representation of a surface.
I can

[LLVMdev] Implement a Register Allocator in LLVM
I'm working on my project for completion undergraduate courses, consisting
of an experimental analysis of registers allocation algorithms. For this
task, I am using the set of tools from the LLVM project.
However, I have read the documentation of the LLVM project and not yet
found a way to put the pieces of the puzzle together. So far I know:

Winamp 2.77
Hello,
anyone with an idea why Peter´s great plugin is not included with
the latest full-install of Winamp? I thought it was planned
to release Winamp 2.77 with Vorbis support...
bye,

AR Simulation with non-normal innovations - Correct
Dear Users,
I would like to simulate an AR(1) (y_t=ct1+y_t-1+e_t) model in R where the innovations are supposed to follow a t-GARCH(1,1) proccess.
By t-GARCH I want to mean that:
e_t=n_t*sqrt(h_t) and
h_t=ct2+a*(e_t)^2+b*h_t-1.
where n_t is a random variable with t-Student distribution.
If someone could give some guidelines, I can going developing the model.
I did it in matlab, but the loops

[LLVMdev] Can a Function Pass require a Module Pass?
Dear LLVMers,
I am implementing a Function Pass and I would like to use analysis obtained
from a Module Pass. Some extracts of my code look like that:
struct MyPass : public FunctionPass {
static char ID;
MyPass() : FunctionPass(ID) {
PADriver &PD = getAnalysis<AModulePass>();
...
virtual void getAnalysisUsage(AnalysisUsage &AU) const{

LiveInterval and Loop Info
Hello to all LLVM Developers.
Given a object from a LiveInterval class, is there any way to know if this
Live Interval is part or is inside a loop?

[LLVMdev] Problem to run SPEC2006
Dear LLVMers,
I am having trouble to run SPEC2006. I have checked in my log file that the
spec root has been correctly found with ./configure, but when I try:
make TEST=simple
in the External folder I get the following error:
make -C /home/izabela/svn_llvm/llvm/projects/test-suite/tools all \
ORIGINAL_CC="clang" \
ORIGINAL_CXX="clang"

I can also use the method intervalIsInOneMBB() from LiveIntervals class to
relate a LiveInterval to a MachineBasicBlock, right?

[LLVMdev] Problem to run SPEC2006
I can't really tell what is happening based on this output, but 'make' is not the right way
to build SPECcpu2006 components. You need to do either by using the supplied 'runspec'
command with '-build' action directive or to issue the 'specmake' (which is a
make adjusted by spec.org) on the build component folder.
I can build 433.milc on PPC64 with clang without

LLVM and strict SSA
Hello to all LLVM Developers.
The LLVM IR is in strict SSA form (i.e. every variable is defined before it
is used along every path from the entry to exit point)?
According to the documentation, currently the LLVM IR is in the SSA form,
but I don't see additional information about *strict* SSA form.
The strict SSA form provide opportunities of optimization in register
allocation, because is

Pseudo R for Quant Reg
Dear R Users,
Did someone implemented the R1 (Pseudo R-2) and likelihood ratio
statistics for quantile regressions, which are some of the inference
procedures for quantile regression
found in Koenker and Machado (1999)?
I tried the Ox version, but my dataset is too large (> 50.000) and the
algorith breaks.

New release of aoTuV
For those who missed it, there's a new release of aoTuV (beta 4.5).
According to Aoyumi-san, there's some new tuning for audio below quality set
3 (-q3), but I have not tested it myself yet.
I wonder when Monty will actually check the new versions of aoTuV and merge
them with main trunk. Latest tests on HA show the latest tunings of
Aoyumi-san have matured Vorbis a lot, and

How to work with VLANs and several nic Interfaces ?
Hi all,
I have xen2.0.7 running in a fedora core 3 !
I have dom0 and domU running fine and communicating between each other as
well between other machines on diferent networks.
Still i want to improve my network setup and i start reading manuals and
malling lists about bridging and vlans configuration!
I have two nics each one associated to eth0 and eth1.
Eth0 -> Vlan A
