Service Winbind stopped, what could be the reason ?
Hello dear Samba users,
I recently faced an issue with samba (4.10.4) and winbind.
The winbind service was stopped, so no user can acces to my samba share.
I restart the winbind service, and all users can access to the share as usually...
But I would like to understand why this issue occured.
My samba server is a centos 7 linux, configured as domain member to a microsoft AD (windows server

Sieve/pigeonhole rejects email addresses for valid UNIX users
Self-explanatory, I hope (note the period on the end of the username);
sieve/pigeonhole does not allow you to have senders which end with a
period, which means that any UNIX users with such usernames who send
mail have it rejected by sieve:
# useradd testuser.
# su - testuser.
$ mail david at example.com -s 'testing'
123
.
[testuser. at levi ~]$ logout
# less /var/log/maillog

can't boot isohybrid-ized image on CG2100
I have a isohybrid-ized image (isohybrid.pl from syslinux-4.03, no
options passed) which works on several other systems, but can't boot a
Kontron CG2100 from stick (same image boots fine from a portable CD-ROM
drive though). The BIOS shows its initial splash, accesses the stick,
then the system reboots - no errors logged in the BIOS event log. I
tried disabling the "USB boot

Broken links in ogg HTML documentation
I looked at the HTML files in the ogg/doc directory after Monty fixed
the spelling.
When I view the oggstream.html file in my local cvs tree, the second
bitmap file (vorbisword2.png) shows as broken (not present in cvs).
Furthermore, the vorbis.html file linked to by the white-ogg.png image
(also in framing.html) does not exist.
It appears that the documentation has been broken when it was

pager reminder script
Since the list community has done so much for me in my humble asterisk
beginnings I have put together a simple little script written in php that
serves as a paging reminder script. If anyone is interested in a copy of
it contact me off list and I'll forward you a copy.
The basics of the script are as follows: It queries an asterisk inbox of
your choosing for the existence of a file that

Multiple email recipients
I''m trying to call multiple email addresses from database. But dont
know how to get the logic into the recipients field.
#subscriptions_controller
def deliver
@subscription = Subscription.find(params[:id])
@users = @subscription.users
@subscription_recipients = @users.find(:all).collect { |user|
user.email }

hashed password, send reminder email...impossible?
Is it possible to somehow send an email containing the user password if
it is stored as a md5 hash in the database?
Is it stupid to save the passwords as clear text strings in the db? Its
a web shop.
A workaround would be to generate a new password and send it to the
user. If the user then want to, he may change to another password.
Any other thoughts on this?

feature request/reminder - alias / bootsector
HPA, a longterm reminder. See below.
Can you also make a LABEL ignore other labels if no KERNEL statement is found in between? That way you could define multiple aliasses for an entry.
label foo
label bar
label memtest
kernel memtestp
foo ignores 'label bar' , 'label memtest' and executes 'kernel memtest'
bar ignores 'label memtest' and executes 'kernel

A reminder if your posts are disappearing
Hello folks,
Recently more and more messages are being killed by xiph.org's postfix
anti-spam filter, followed by pleading messages from the author to
'unban' them :-) There's no banning on the group, but the anti-spam
filter doesn't take prisoners.
