SSH question
On my logwatch that I have emailed to me, I see a line where I'm showed logging in via a known ip address, and when I log in from my laptop through my EV-DO card wirelessly, the computer show log in as ok, but it can not translate the ip from the aircard and marks the log in as a possible hack attempt. How do you go in and set a network subnet as a valid ip block and not an attack attempt?

FW: Logwatch for XXXXXXX.kd4efm.org (Linux)
Found an error or two from my logwatch report from yesterday, thought I would share this in hopes this is just first time run of the problem I noticed in the Kernel report section... Also not sure why there's an issue with automount either.... but I guess I could ask on that issue as well. I am not worried about the NAMED error, this is something that happens due to one of the services that

Beta upgrade (could not find a decent answer yet)
Greetings All from Florida. As of tonight, Sunday April 14th, 07, I finished loading the dvd iso of 5 beta (or 4.92 as it is shown to be) and went archive diving to see what was up with the updater not finding the 4.92 files on the mirrors.. I only saw a few notes about removing a dev file and something else, then a comment about removing an image file, then a comment about not doing it in X as

dyn.load problem under linux
Dear HelpeRs, I am trying to use an thirdy-part library under Linux (the library is developed both for Windows and for Linux). I have tried different solutions (with the library developer) but we are not able to solve the problem. So I try to ask for your help in order to escape from the full stop where we are at the moment. The problem looks to depend on the dyn.load function (technical

Valgrind/Callgrind 3.6.1 does not appear to work on Centos Linux 5.5
Hi, For the last day or two I having been trying to get Valgrind/Callgrind 3.6.1 to work on Centos Linux 5.5 using a simple Fibonacci C++ program(shown below). After compiling the program using g++ -g -o MatchUpAccurate MatchUpAccurate.cpp, we run: /home/frankc/DQTTest/valgrind-3.6.1/coregrind/valgrind --tool=callgrind --dump-instr=yes --simulate-cache=yes --collect-jumps=yes

Fwd: [bug & patch] libstdc++ in linux_base-7.1_3
Hey guys, hope you don't mind this forward email, because I have been reading the 'flashpluginwrapper problem.' subject. The bug is in the linux_base, but nobody seem to check on this in the freebsd-ports. Looks like Brandon D. Valentine might needs to create a PR to get the better attention and keep the track. C++ streams in shared library in cause R to hang? (linux)
Hello, I'm using dyn.load() to load in a shared library compiled for R on linux. The code does quite a bit (DB accesses, C-style file reads/writes) with no trouble, but hangs when it reaches code that uses C++ streams, specifically operator>>() and operator<<(). From the debugger output (below) it seems like it could be __flockfile() related (maybe a deadlock of some sort?).

Wrong battery.date variable value
Kevin, As Matthijs noted, pfSense uses a circular log file. The default size is ~500KB, which can be a bit small. You can increase the log file size by changing the “Log file size” parameter on the Log management page. Look for the wrench symbol on the system log page (Status / System Logs / System / General). Note that you have to clear the log after changing its size. FWIW, I have mine set to
