Contrasts within ANOVA frame (Repost)
Would like to try my luck to see if I can catch your eyes.
I was trying to do some contrasts within ANOVA. I searched the archive and
found a clue posted by Steffen Katzner
( http://tolstoy.newcastle.edu.au/R/help/06/01/19385.html)
I have three levels for a factor names "StdLot" and want to make three
comparisons, 1 vs 2, 1 vs 3 and 2 vs 3.

Fwd: Any chance that Crossover will solve my problem
Hello,
I developed an application that I would like to run in linux. It is
developed part in VB6 part in C++ (using VS 6 and VS 2005) and uses
Codejock's components for the UI. The installer is built with
InnoSetup.
I managed to install it on Suse 9.3 with Wine 0.9.17 but I got errors
(cannot load DLL) while registering msxml, capicom, and one of my VS
2005 dlls. I fixed the msxml

apply ? function doesnt create object
hello,
i have written a function to extract certain lines from a matrix. the
result is a matrix with 6 cols, named dynamically according to the
functions arguments.
the problem is now, that i'm not able to return the resultmatrix for
further use. the object is not being created.
example from my console:
getans(27,27)
[...]
[189,] 3969 161 27 1 0 1
[190,] 2142 87 27

[LLVMdev] How to compile apps to bc files with the new llvm-gcc4?
Unless I'm missing something, the problem lies directly with the fact that
you are trying to do a link-stage operation with the GCC frontend. GCC, by
default, probably runs "ld" or another system linker, which grabs the
executable from binutils. This linker hasn't been modified (yet) to include
support for .bc files, but you're compiler is emitting byte code to the *.o
files.

[LLVMdev] How to compile apps to bc files with the new llvm-gcc4?
Hi,
I'm trying to compile some apps with the new llvm-gcc4 on amd64 linux
to .bc files, rather than to the native code. The same process I used to
build those apps before with llvm-gcc3 doesn't work:
1)
export CC=llvm-gcc CXX=llvm-g++ CFLAGS="-g -fno-inline" CXXFLAGS="-g
-fno-inline"
2) cd <whatever-app>; ./configure
3) make CFLAGS+=-emit-llvm

3.0.1 Test Success MacOS X 10.4.11
I have also been eager to test bbouncer
The latest source passes with flying colours!
but make check finds some problems with xattrs if not run by sudo
I have xattr in /usr/local/bin/ from the source found at:

What I did:
cd /usr/local/Source
rsync -av --exclude=.git/ rsync://rsync.samba.org/ftp/unpacked/rsync .

Ahoy
I'm trying to setup Asterisk on debian etch (with the debian packages)
with a "Fritz!Card PCI" ISDN card and chan_capi.
Everything seems to be configured the right way (excerpts below),
Asterisk seems to see the ISDN-card but if i try to place a test-call
from the outside i don't see anything on the asterisk-console (set debug

RJS not working?
I''ve been attempting to add a simple rjs ''delete'' method to my
project. However, no matter what I try, it simply doesn''t work. Even
the easy, easy stuff seems broken. (Yes, <%=
javascript_include_tag :defaults %> is being included in the template.)
For example, from:

Password issue
One of my accounts was having login failures when trying to send mail, but was able to check mail.
I tried everything I could think of to see what the issue might be, but eventually went in and reset the password in the sql database (I knew the password, so I reset it to the same password).
{SHA256-CRYPT}$5$VuS?
{SHA256-CRYPT}$5$VI7?
So the password was updated properly.

Problems with file locking over gnome-vfs (esp. OpenOffice.org)
Hi.
First of all, I will probably post this question several places, at
least here, on the ubuntu forums, and perhaps OpenOffice forums. It is
a problem that I'm not sure if really is samba related, Openoffice
related or perhaps even OS related. As stated in the heading, it's
about file locking, so many apps come into play.
I work at a school where we teachers use mainly Ubuntu Hardy and

R talks at LSM 2007
Dear R users and developers,
Would any of you be interested in giving a lecture about R and/or R
use cases at the following free software conference that takes place
in Amiens, France, next summer?
We already had a talk on R last year by Yves Croissant
(http://2006.rmll.info/theme_26?lang=en) but are still open to any
submission this year.
We expect some talks this year (to be confirmed) about
