can't demux with ogminfo / need to re-pac OGV to MKV
Hello, I need to demux video files created with ffmpeg2theora 0.28+svn18147 I have ogminfo v1.5 and getting this error (ogminfo.c) OGG stream 1 is of an unknown type (bad header?) (ogminfo.c) OGG stream 2 is of an unknown type (bad header?) (ogminfo.c) (a1/serial 1092562206) Vorbis audio (channels 2 rate 48000) Is possible, that ogminfo is older then ffmpeg2theora ? Or what can be the reason?

I could build directly from source but I'd prefer to do it via

Making a smooth transition between sources?
Oh, this seems very cool - but, it doesn't handle the actual streaming, am I right, just mixes multiple relay streams together? Or, does it actually stream from playlists on the server? If so, I'd switch in a moment! (I think I'm seeing different documentations from different times here...) I'm using eztream as my streamer for when my base computer isn't operating... and I

Resample and Relay Using Icecast2
Hi Robert, Icecast itself doesn't do any resampling of audio streams it receives. One would likely craft a solution that listens to the original stream and re-encodes on the fly, providing those alternate bitrate streams back to Icecast. I've heard people doing this with liquidsoap and other source clients, and a bit of server-side magic. Some quick Googling provided me with this link

audio sample rates
I have an Icecast server and an Asterisk dialplan containing a call to ICES(/my/ices.xml). So Asterisk launches "ices /my/ices.xml" where /my/ices.xml contains: <input> <module>stdinpcm</module> <param name="rate">8000</param> <param name="channels">1</param> </input> and <encode>

copying an ogg stream
dear list, i am trying to write a small program which reads an ogg file and writes it to another ogg file (and changes serial number, granulepos etc on the fly). reading the ogg file is ok (ogg_sync_pageout, ogg_stream_pagein, ogg_stream_packetout). but writing the file doesn't work - the granulepos and page structures don't match with the original file. here's what i am doing.

ogg dirac granulepos in oggz tools
Hi, I'm wondering if the Dirac granulepos parsing in liboggz and display in the oggz tools is currently correct, as I'd like to do a release of these soon. A couple of days ago David Schleef mentioned there were some problems. David, is that currently true (ie. since David Flynn's recent updates to support Dirac), and if so could you please explain what the problems are, or point me

[PATCH] oggz: limit seeking to specified range
Hi Guys, I've been working on speeding up seeking in Ogg playback in for the video element in Firefox. This is Mozilla bug 469408: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=469408 When liboggz seeks, it basically does a bisection search through the media, looking for an Ogg page with the target seek time. This is fine for files stored locally, but when the file is stored on a web server,

Icecast source with updateable metadata?
Hello everyone, I'm not new to Icecast, but I've always used Darkice. A new project friends and myself are building for fun utilizes a Rivendell automation setup that will run on one computer, then a source client for icecast on a 2nd computer with a mixer inbetween. I'm looking to push the title information from the Rivendell system over to the system that will have the

BUG: page-aligned data in libshout
I've spent three days tracking this bug down.. I have yet to find how to fix it in the code, tho I do have a workaround which proves the nature of the bug. Sorry for the somewhat-overkill nature of explaining this bug, but some people have been doubting it so I'm going to give the evidence nessesary to prove the nature of it.
