DC prediction question
Can someone tell me why specification differ from reference implementation?
In specification blocks L,DL,D and DR are used for DC prediction, but in implementation
L,UL,U and UR are used. This brings to different results ... or not?
What's the correct version?
Thanks in advance

FPGA implementation in the camera
I'm considering implementing the Theora format in the FPGA of the new
camera. The previous model (Elphel 313 - http://www.elphel.com,
https://sourceforge.net/projects/elphel) had smaller FPGA and was
able to produce just motion JPEG utilizing 97% of the resources. The
new (model 333) camera uses 3 times bigger FPGA (and also faster), it
also has increased frame buffer and system memory.

manipulating mails
Hi all,
sorry for my inexperience. I am still learning. I searched for a while
but found nothing useful.
I am looking for the best way to manipulate headers, bodies,
attachments, locations, folders and/or flags while using deliver and
e.g. perl.
In other words manipulating the whole mail in respect of the
requirements of the LDA, MUA and User.
I see two diffent ways.
As i understand I can

Can somebody shed some light on the error

Various typo in spec
Hi,
I have few questions on the specification.
* Just to understand :
- What is the interest of super blocks ? Is it to save place when
recording coded block flags (7.3) ?
- What is the advantage of using the coded order ? it is more often
easier with raster order (especially to find neighbor in 7.8.1 for
exemple). Is it to simplify the correspondence between block, macro

WipeOut - gateway access with pin solution
Helo WipeOut,
I have found a solution for sending dtmf after dial.
I use spooling. Take a look at the sample.call file inside asterisk dir. You need to edit this file and dump it in /var/spool/asterisk/outgoing. Asterisk will precess this file automaticlly
I create the sample.call do something like this:
Channel: OH323/4324324324 #dial the access way
MaxRetries: 3
RetryTime: 60
WaitTime: 30

Checking what's running inside a httpd process
I'm trying to fix a CentOS (5.5 x86_64) VM that we have where it become unstable due to swapping. But I did notice something: I have 10 httpd processes, and 5 of them are using 13 MB of resident memory, the other are using between 91 and 96 MB of RAM. I find it quite strange to see such differences in RAM usage. I ran a "lsof -P -p" on the processes, and I didn't see any major

AT&T access code entry by Asterisk
I have a dialplan that requires that we use * to send the long distance access code to AT&T. I have found in the list that the `w` command can be used to inject a pause, I have tried the following:
exten => _91NXXXXXXXXX,1,Dial(ZAP/g1/${EXTEN}www5555555,70)
There `5555555` is the ld access code. I tried various quantities of `w`s but I never got * to dial the ld access code. Allof the

Strange problem with dual head on GeForce9600GT (dual DVI)
Hi,
I am using nouveau for some time now, I am quite happy with it. I had
two screens connected with DVI to VGA adapters and dual screen was
working no problem. Today I decided to replace the DVI to VGA adapters
with plain DVI-I dual link cables and found out something strange, the
second screen doesn't display anything anymore, it stays black.
I am using gentoo linux with
Linus' kernel

XDOVECOT capability?
Hi!
Here and there, I'm seeing mentions of a "XDOVECOT" capability - e.g. on https://documentation.open-xchange.com/7.8.2/middleware/components/search/crossfolder_fts_in_mail.html .
However, I can't seem to find any documentation on what this actually does.
We need to add this capability to our servers in order for certain functionality of Open Xchange App Suite to work

Mailbox isn't a valid mbox file (dovecot 1.0-0.beta8.2.fc5)
Hello,
I have upgraded my dovecot-0.99.13-3.FC3 to dovecot-1.0-0.beta8.2.fc5
recently and now am having weird problem.
If somebody's mailbox has the first line in a form of

instead of
From user at host.domain.edu Thu Oct 7 14:20:00 1999
then that mailbox couldn't be precessed by dovecot. It

preprocesssor questions
Hi,
I have been looking at the speex library and I like it a lot. Good job! I
have a couple of questions regarding the preprocessor:
1) I looked at the source code. Even though I am an experienced programmer
it looks like Chinese to me ;-) What would I have to do to modify / tweak
the audio processing code for my needs? Are there documents describing the
algorithms applied for AGC, NS and VAD or

preprocesssor questions
Hi
Thank you for your work.
We are trying to use the speex SW with a C6000 TI DSP.
I am working with an HW codec that does AGC by HW inside.
Will doing the AGC before the preprocessor make a problem?
Does VAD work well in a noisy eviroment?
In SW there are some remarks on things to be fixed, can I count on SW as working or are some part still to be improved.
I also tried to understand SW but I
