problem building vorbis-tools-1.0rc3
I download all the tarballs for rc3. I compiled and installed all the libraries successfully, but I wan't able to compile the vorbis tools (1.0rc3) package succesfully. I can run configure successfully, but when I run make it dies with this make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/local/src/vorbis-tools-1.0rc3/oggenc' /bin/sh ../libtool --mode=link gcc -O20 -ffast-math -fsigned-char -o

_oggpack
Hello I am new at this. I have compiled the libogg and libvorbis libraries and installed them on my MacOS X machine. The libao cannot be compiled yet since stuff is missing. But I only want to play round with encoding right now. So I also unpacked the vorbis tools distribution and am in oggenc. In oggenc I do a cc *.c -I. -L/usr/local/lib -logg -lvorbis -lvorbisenc I get unknown symbols

problem with vorbis autoconf stuff
It sets: VORBIS_LIBS="$VORBIS_LIBDIR -lvorbis -lm" VORBISFILE_LIBS="-lvorbisfile" VORBISENC_LIBS="-lvorbisenc" Shouldn't this be: VORBIS_LIBS="$VORBIS_LIBDIR -lvorbis -lm" VORBISFILE_LIBS="$VORBIS_LIBDIR -lvorbisfile" VORBISENC_LIBS="$VORBIS_LIBDIR -lvorbisenc" as libvorbisenc & libvorbis are also in the same

impossible to link against libtheoraenc (missing symbol th_comment_query_count)
I've got a huge problem with libtheora. All is fine if I link only against libtheoradec but as soon as I try to link also against libtheoraenc everything breaks down: libtheoraenc.so.1 dlerror: libtheoraenc.so.1: undefined symbol: th_comment_query_count. I've checked with NM to see how the libraries depend on each other: nm libtheoraenc.so.1 | grep th_comment_query_count

ffmpeg2theora: Undefined symbols?
Compiling ffmpge2theora from SVN appears to die while complaining about undefined symbols? This documents my attempt to build ffmpeg2theora from SVN on Mac OS X version 10.5.7. Almost there...
Ok, I managed to compile the Ogg and Vorbis libs. Then, after modifying the file audio_out.c as follows: original: #include <dlfcn.h> modified: #include <win32/include/dlfcn.h> I was able to (finally!) compile libao. Then I tried to compile the module vorbis-tools, but uninvited problems came to my party. [...] > /usr/bin/ld: multiple definitions of symbol _getopt >

Trouble building libvorbis-1.0rc3
Hi all, I was just trying to build myself a RC3 set of Ogg/Vorbis libs and tools, but the build of libvorbis bombs out on me while making all in examples. I've ./configure'd with no options, which gave no warnings or errors. After that a normal make gives the below attached output. Can anyone tell me what I've done wrong ? I've also tried removing the examples/ directory. After

Memory Leak in vorbis_info_clear()
I'm having trouble tracking down why it leaks, but below is an example program which shows--using valgrind--that vorbis_info_clear() leaks memory if called before vorbis_dsp_clear(), but not if called after vorbis_dsp_clear(). Just compile and run under valgrind, using the -l switch to the example program to trigger a leak. Tested under OS X 10.7 and Ubuntu 12.04. This may be by design, or

can't compile ices 2 on ppc
I've tried everything I know how (and a lot I don't) to get ices to compile on this beige G3 ppc box. I've got the latest cvs of libshout and ices. Gentoo linux ppc 1.2-r1, from stage3 tarball. gcc 2.95.3 I've made sure that libshout points to libshout.so.2.0.2. Don't know what else to try. I've got the box here, and I've port-forwarded through my firewall to
