FW: libtheora in WinCE or PocketPC?
Hi there, I've found no answers to this question from Fri Apr 15 19:33:50 2005. Are there any answers now? > I'm sure this is a common question, but I haven't seen it asked nor answered > on this list, on the Theora Wiki nor FAQ, nor on the Internet at large > (though I haven't checked the whole thing): > > Has anyone ported 'libtheora' to WinCE or

libtheora 1.0 beta3 supports multithread encoder?
Hi , I see in the libtheora 1.0 beta3 changelog that included new libtheoradec and libtheoraenc libraries supporting the new API from theora-exp , that it means that have multithread encoder? _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger! libtheora in WinCE or PocketPC?
I'm sure this is a common question, but I haven't seen it asked nor answered on this list, on the Theora Wiki nor FAQ, nor on the Internet at large (though I haven't checked the whole thing): Has anyone ported 'libtheora' to WinCE or PocketPC 2003? I seem to recall seeing a Linux ARM port, but I haven't been able to confirm that, either. I see there's a

library migration plan
Derf (Timothy Terriberry) and I talked about the api transition plan on friday. The plan is: * libtheora will export only the "old" api, as it did in beta1. * libtheoradec will export both the "new" theora-exp decoder api, and the decoder portions of the old api. So libtheoradec will be a drop-in replacement for decoder-only usage of libtheora, and the linking change will

theora-exp namespacing
All, There was a discussion on IRC yesterday about cleaning up Derf's theora-exp implementation so it can be used in frameworks that also link to libtheora. The encoder doesn't work at the moment, but the decoder is faster and implements more of the spec than libtheora, so this would be a useful option for people trying to deploy players. The main thing that needs to be done is to

libtheora-1.1.1 and SDL2 support.
Are there any plans to implement SDL2 support for libtheora? I've searched the internet for patches and I couldn't really find anything. I modified some of the files in libtheora-1.1.1 to use the SDL2 library instead of the SDL library. I'm pretty sure I did it wrong though. It compiles successfully. I was hoping someone else had done something similarly so I could compare my

theora problems
Hi, I've been trying to use libtheora-experimental (libtheoraenc and libtheoradec) to encode a webcam feed in real-time, to be decoded also in realtime by a second party via XXX-IP, with - unfortunately - not so good results. I'm using custom written functions to convert from RGB8 to YUV420 and back and, although not much processor-efficient, they do what they're supposed to

impossible to link against libtheoraenc (missing symbol th_comment_query_count)
I've got a huge problem with libtheora. All is fine if I link only against libtheoradec but as soon as I try to link also against libtheoraenc everything breaks down: libtheoraenc.so.1 dlerror: libtheoraenc.so.1: undefined symbol: th_comment_query_count. I've checked with NM to see how the libraries depend on each other: nm libtheoraenc.so.1 | grep th_comment_query_count

libtheora 1.1alpha2 (thusnelda) release
I'm pleased to announce the second alpha release of our next generation encoder for the free Theora video format, codename "thusnelda". The second release incorporates a number of changes which improve both compression efficiency and execution speed. This release includes working MSVC project files, but the assembly optimization hasn't yet been ported, so performance there will

Theora got extreamly slow (Makefile.am was changed)
I have tried to add a plunging to the "libtheora-1.0beta2" (network bandwidth measuring component was added) and Got it success for some far now the problem is when it is added the encoding process get extremely slow (around 20 seconds delay). I think that the problem is with my modified Makefile (some flag may have missed). the following is my modified Makefile.am which is in the

libtheora-1.0alpha5 release
Everyone, I've made a new release of our libtheora reference implementation. This draws a line under all the development since alpha 4 before we start merging in the optimization work people have been doing. It also contains a fix for two serious bugs (one an encoding error, one a segfault) so we recommend everyone upgrade. The release is source and binary compatible with 1.0 alpha 4.

libtheora-1.0alpha7 release
All, I've done a new alpha release of the libtheora reference implementation. This is mostly build fixes from the alpha6 release; I'd failed to enable the new MMX asm by default, and the x86 asm code did a relocation that caused problems on SELinux. You can get it in the usual place: http://downloads.xiph.org/releases/theora/libtheora-1.0alpha7.tar.bz2

libtheora-mmx-1.0alpha5 release
Along with libtheora-1.0alpha5 this is a release of theora-mmx. A drop in replacement that uses MMX assembly to speedup some of the most demanding routines in theora encoding/decoding. Right now it only works on 32bit x86 CPUs. Thanks to everyone whose work made this release possible! Download links: http://downloads.xiph.org/releases/theora/libtheora-mmx-1.0alpha5.tar.bz2
