Hi there. I try to cross-compile the theora libraries to test my ARMv6 optimizations (almost done, time to do some benchmarking and testing). While doing so I found out that --with-ogg seems to do nothing. If I simply run: .configure --with-ogg=$HOME The build succeeds also it shouldn't (I don't have ogg installed at $HOME). Hi everyone, I'm trying to build theora encoding into my game engine. Essentially, I'd like to do something similar to png2theora.c, where I take individual screen shots of my game and encode them into a video. Because png2theora.c uses the legacy C API, I used encoder_example.c as a template instead. encoder_example.c seems to be the only code out there that actually uses the th_* API.

This draws a line under all the development since alpha 4 before we start merging in the optimization work people have been doing. It also contains a fix for two serious bugs (one an encoding error, one a segfault) so we recommend everyone upgrade. The release is source and binary compatible with 1.0 alpha 4.

All, I've done a new alpha release of the libtheora reference implementation. This is mostly build fixes from the alpha6 release; I'd failed to enable the new MMX asm by default, and the x86 asm code did a relocation that caused problems on SELinux. Along with libtheora-1.0alpha5 this is a release of theora-mmx. A drop in replacement that uses MMX assembly to speedup some of the most demanding routines in theora encoding/decoding.
